My mom's old pekinese was more viscious than that. He would get under my bed and not come out. His eyes would glow and he'd make mean/ugly faces. He also would snore very loud, to the point where I wouldn't be able to sleep. I would try to bribe him with food, but he would snatch it and not come out. I'd try to push him out with an object, and he would chew on it. Finally, one day when he came out on his own, I took the frame off my bed and put it on the floor....problem solved ..hehe

thank god, I thought it was only my peke that guards the food and doesn't eat it. Sometimes he'll even come over to me with his food when I'm on the other side of the room, drop it next to my hand, and dare me to take it.... and I don't dare to try.

I don't understand why these pekingese dogs have to be such bitchy little animals. my 3 German Shepard's are nothing like this one or my girl friends pekingese. my dogs can let you take anything away from them, or even share an ice cream cone with them. but pekingese even if they don't eat it they will guard it with there life.

They're not. They just protect their stuff. They think they're bigger than they are "sure" but I had one for over 16 years. She had her days, but who doesn't. See rumors get around, just like about people and then people think every "pekingese" or every group of an "ethnic group" acts a certain way and it doesn't, because we can't speak for every one of them right? We don't know them all.

So no I'm not mad or upset, just trying to set my sweet baby's record straight in her memory.
