I love how you were starting to be beat down a bit before 3:08 , then as the epic part of the music starts playing, you get a second wind and even while on fire and taking on water, you were able to take down the Yamato. :o

Just a suggestion from a destroyer hater, whenever battleships are not present, always look for torpedoes and have the repair crews there, then Iowa might have made it. But, I cant complain about your aiming, shooting, or tatical brilliance. Nice Job and I hate destroyers!

I play this in just the single player campaign. There's a ton of multi-tasking just doing that. Multi-player is too much beyond my talents to even attempt.

Putting the Iowa at port vs the Yamato, the Yamato wins. It would be like putting a good but smaller fighter in a small broom closet with a larger opponent when neither can maneuver. The Iowa beats the Yamato 9 of 10 in the open ocean but the opposite is true at port.

At the demo me and my friend used torpedo planes to take out one of the hangarship it worked everytime and then we went on a second round of torpedoes and sank the other ship and the we only needed to consentrate our ships and planes on the boats :)

BSP has its own set of problems. Lots of map glitches and ship/plane/sub balance issues, like the Kaiten Carrier and the Catalina. BSP is great, but not great enough to completely replace BSM.

The japs have a huge advantage with their supirior bbs. For them to loose like that, they would have to be really rubbissh.

Actually the Japanese battleships are only slightly better; it's a difference of 10 points of armour and 50 points of damage.

Also don't forget that the Americans have B-17s, Mitchells, and Devastators that can win them the late-game. The Japanese don't have that.

well yeah I geuss but it really helps to have batter BBs. Level bombers don't do anything to battleships. Torpedo bombers do a lot, but take ages to mass up. Either waay, I've played as the japanese all the time for the past few months and never, ever lost, and never quit unless I have to get off.

One more thing the US has that the Japanese doesn't? Submarines. Play the CSF Clan and you'll see that it's hardly impossible to win as the US. All you need is the Darter and Dace to win, really.

The subs can easily be destroyed, just move the BBs to shallow water and watch as the subs are forced to surface, when you can blow the hell out of them.

No, you're forced to surface from UNDER the battleship. The battleship itself blocks your surfacing. And considering there isn't any shallow water near the islands, good luck fighting Iowa and New Jersey two-on-one. Not even Yamato can fight two BBs of that calibre alone.

Well the "BB blocking you from surfacing" would be cheating as your engine would stop and your crew would suffocate, which would probably result in request of your kicking. As for the islands, just don't go near them in the first place until both subs are destroyed. And facing the enemy bbs 2V1? Why would you do that in the first place?

Well I would certainly be happy to kick someone if they were doing that. Plus depth charges do damage from a distance as well so youd soon get destroyed by the dds surrounding the bb. Also if the japs are feeling cheeky they can move in their minisubs. You can't manuver the sub at all or you'd surface. The minisubs can take advantage of your sllightly raised depth, as normally the fleet subs are too deep for a sub V sub dual even at attack depth. And I'm out of characters so I'll reply again...

...And as you can't manuver, they can simply go right up to you and blast you with torpedoes. each minisub fires 2 torpedoes at once, and it takes 2 torpedoes to kill a fleet sub. You have 2 subs out at a time. You can therefore easily take out both subs if they are under the bb.

Assuming you're talking about the small ship that runs in front of the Musashi, that'd be the IJN Hayanami. It's one of the Japanese's "fast destroyers".

If the Japanese are smart, you get up as many Geckos as you can ASAP, and intercept the bombers at long-range. If need be, Kamikaze your geckos into the first wave of bombers so you can launch a second wave and continue to intercept them.

If you're any good as a pilot, you should be able to defend the airfields without too much of a hassle.

Your job as the Airfield slot is to just stay alive, and keep the allies from being able to focus on launching torpedo attacks.

Against solid opponents, you'll never be able to eliminate the American airfield with the JPN airfield...But if you can provide protection, then the Japanese should have little trouble eliminating the two American Battleships, assuming the Japanese players are smart enough to join all of their forces together and form a battle column.

Dude you are really good. Ive had this game since it came out. We should get together to play a round. Is the Iowa (or any ship in its class)your best ship. Theres no dout that if you saw me in the Fuso u would say thats my best (personly im good with a sub)but if u want to play Im The KoRnZ.
