After watching Heaps perform on a collegiate level tonight against Washington, I would like to retract all the negative comments i previously made about him. This kid is good
Are you kidding me? There is no substitute for the quarterback. He's on the money with every throw. Good receiver, yes, but this video clearly shows that Jake is one of the best high school quarterbacks in the nation. Period.
I agree with Tpain, plus skyline next year will suck, without jake only spotlight is kasen williams, and alot of pressure on the sophmore quarterback Max Browne
I don't think this kid is gonna do much for us here at the Y. Every highlight is just him lobbing bombs to his wide open recievers. It's not gonna be like that in college. I don't think this kid can thread the needle.
dumbass look at the first play of the highlight. he puts in the perfect spot. only where his wide out could catch it. it takes talent to split a saftey and corner
@Tpain831 - If by that you mean he first finds the open receiver, then puts it in a place for his receiver to run under it and make a play then yes, he does exactly that. Look at Pt 2 and see him throw a bomb right on target off his back foot at 3:43, that is impressive. Look for him to make a big impact this year
@3255NY It sucks too, he was the #1 rated receiver in washington and freakin washington got him to commit to them this year. All we can do now it just imagine what could've been had we been able to get him to sign with byu too
Jake Heaps not only is an incredible football player but young man as well. He'll be a great representative of the faith based principles found within BYU's football program.
BYU's QB tradition should be alive and well with Jake Heaps in the fold. Go Cougars!

Skyline HS players can catch his passes but BYU players can't. Strange.

Wow, keeping his eyes down field under heavy pressure is something that even some D1 quarterbacks have a hard time doing.

go watch Jake Heaps 2009 Part 2 for throws more realistic to BYU's offense, and you can see the accuracy everyone keeps talking about.

If he wanted to be a great representative he should go on a mission first.
