I reflect on how in adulthood he still strives for the approval of his bully. I showed this to my son who has been bulled all through school. He wants to be a pastor and needless to say this isnt acceptable to the world. He's blessed with his faith and at one point he brought his bible to school saying if Jesus is my only friend then I'm gonna bring him to school. Still, he seeks the approval of the one who hurts him most. We are complicated creatures us humans but in Christ is victory..

I agree, hearing a little bit about the inspiration for this song made it that much better! Forgiveness is such a beautiful thing...it takes a big person to be able to do that...though I don't know him, I'm proud of him for doing that!
