Yeah, at this speed the solo speaks volumes. I really do wish Vivaldi made this piece longer. I do understand where Kennedy's pov is. It can be pretty boring to play so slowly bu it makes the piece that much better. When played fast, it is much more fun to play but not as much fun to listen to I'm afraid.

Love the speed of this version. The solo violin line really speaks at this speed. Just wish Vivaldi had included another repeat or written a bit more of the movement - it's only 3 min delight!

Not this slow, I've heard it several different ways, and all the others I've heard has abit more speed, and sounds alot more fresh. I got bored by this after the first 5 notes, and that tells enough.

I agree this sounds like gently falling snow it's not meant to be a blizzard. It makes me think of a little wood cutters wooden shack in the woods with a smoke coming out of the chimney and the snow gently covering the roof.
