  • Yes. It is tanuki(raccoon dog).

    The tanuki has a legend to be able to transform itself into anything in Japan.

  • Oh yes, I certinely knew that, the movie focused heavily on the legend of tanukis having incredible transforming powers too! And in some way, that's pretty much what fascinates me about them. I won't go into more detail into why I am because I might sound like a total nutcase if I word this the wrong way but yeah I am still *very* fascinated with the whole tanuki folklore, as with several other things involving Japanese culture. :)

  • Very nice commercial, as ever. One question though, those little animals at the end? Well, aren't those tanuki? I'm only curious because a month ago I've seen the movie "平成狸合戦ぽんぽこ" (an anime movie from 1994, you may have heard of it) and I've since become fascinated with tanuki, in particular their place in Japanese culture.
