@aryowailangitoyo97 In the past there are three signs with STOP LOOK LISTEN text and a man with a red flag to stop the traffic when the train loud wistled came. Now it's still the same plus a long red/white colored bamboo(?) stick across the street
we are way behind from western country in road safety. I would always say that it is the Philippine goverment at fault, second the general public. I think to educate our younger generation proper way to use the road safely would be best, for us to expect they'll do it right in the futre. No need for the army of traffic enforcer.
This undisciplined drivers, especially the black car sitting on the tracks. Just can not comprehend the stupidity of some and the lookilus just not doing anything.
Oh my god... I thought Indonesia's level crossing's bad. Now I just seen the worse.

aryowailangitoyo97 1 year ago
@aryowailangitoyo97 Can be. The locomotive is from General Electric and runs years before in Japan

@heinzmahler Actually that locomotive, 915, and others like it was built by General Electric and delivered straight to the PNR in the 70s.

@aryowailangitoyo97 When I went to the Philippines last two years. I saw railway signals and boom gates. I don't know if they still work :)
I hope they install boom gates like Asian boom gates :)
Anyway that person with the flag gets good income :)

@matthewona: I was in more as 40 countries and say
"we are all in one world" And about the crossing:
You can see sometimes the same way of railway crossing in
Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Italy etc. with a red/white gate.
Can be the mentality of the cardrivers at a crossing is different, hehe

We are far from the western safety standards, but it seems good to work! Thank you and bravo for the images. Philippe
