  • Been waiting for this for a couple years now: signed up for a mailing list and yet to hear anything, bring it on!

  • I loved feeling like part of the band @ the Brandy House.......what a true icon of many generations past and will forever be taking us to the moon in his elevator......

  • Col. Bruce Hampton (Ret.) is way cool! "The dots are where I say they are."

  • When is this movie coming out? Is there a mailing list one can join?

  • THE best bar band there ever was. The Aquarium Rescue Unit & the Col. were THE tightest band around. REISSUE LIVE MATERIAL FROM THESE GUYS SOON!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love the Col. I was an impressionable teen when I asked him, after listening to the HGB album too many times, "Who is Jim Evans?" He replied, in a very comforting tone, "Just a friend, man. Just a friend."

  • They play, I think, only because they love it!I think that's obvious. The "King Greed" LOLOL I have the honor of knowing him personally!

    Dot

  • At 1:16, Oteil starts soloing, at 1:32 he starts scatting.

Can someone tell me where this is from or where I can get it?

  • the song is basically frightened it is off an out of print live album. maybe ebay is the best bet.

  • @Ortli

You can find numerous old ARU shows for download at archive.org's live music archive

  • Col. Bruce and the ARU were for awhile, in terms of technical skill and sheer joy, the BEST live band in awhile.

I've met a ton of bands, famous musicians, hung backstage, worked for labels, all that. Bruce Hampton was the only person that I ever felt that I absolutely needed that man's autograph. And I felt both honored and embarassed to ask for it.

  • "I travel the equator, with a canister of sediment,

The annex vortex tranquiled an address thiefs grief."

    OUTSIDE LOOKING OUT

  • Fantastic!! What a great tribute to a Great Artist given by some of my favorite artists!!

Ya'LL keep on layin' it down!!

    Monty from Ballew's Music

  • Looks great Tom...can't wait for it to hit the shelf !!

  • no benefit in the 'e'...

  • Wow, Derek Trucks says he might not be playing professionally if he hadn't met up with Col. Bruce Hampton when he did. That really says something about Col. Bruce's spirit.

I often wonder how musicians can get up night after night to play for us. I suspect there has to be something more than money as a motivation.

I would like to see the whole film.

  • Brilliant trailer!
