Oh yes!! I have this on a cassette, bootlegged from the fantastic Peter Easton show on BBC Radio Scotland ('Rock on Scotland'/'Beat Patrol') Lovely to hear it in tape-hiss free stereo!!
On the same C90, from around the same months as it was released, is tracks by: North of Cornwallis, The Pastels, Groovy Little Numbers, Lilac Time, Weddoes, Too Much Texas, Caretaker Race, Wild Swans, The Big Maybe, The Witching Hour, Let's Go Naked, White Sisters, The Waltones. What an era!!!
Your uncle is a genius. East Village came to me about 3 years ago. How I wish I hadn't missed them first time around. Digging Birdie just as much. Tell him how great I think East Village were, for me? I need a T-shirt to spread the word, but I guess I'll have to make my own....
