For your wife? Are you saying 9mm is for chicks? I love my 9mm, I can afford any .45 out there but I think 15+1 in the mag of a glock 19, is the best defense you can have. Nice shotgun. I own the Mossberg 500

Fists (or anyone), I left some nice 00 shot cartridges in my trunk for a few weeks and it has been freezing here. A knife was in there too and the blade felt wet (condensation or something). I brought them inside, do you know if I can still use the ammo?

nice guns, but have you gotten any training with these or any weapon for that matter? Everyone has guns, but the deal breaker will be those that know how to use them under stress.

I train with a multitude of firearms/weapons and have trained extensively in unarmed combat for most of my life. It is a continuous process for me AND my wife.

It would do my wife and children no good to have this system and not be effective with it.

I agree 100% that it's CRITICAL to train on a regular basis w/ whatever weapons one owns, to even have a chance of being effective in an unpredictable, extreme-stress scenario.

@pray4chicken No. They are an old round made by Glaser. I think they were called "safety slugs" when I purchased them many years ago. I also have several boxes of black talons from the same time period that I used to EDC but they have been prohibited now I think.

Overpenetration is a serious concern in the home. For that reason I have decided to use frangible ammo for my handguns for home defense purposes. Capable and no worries about shooting loved ones inadvertently through the walls.
