Just like stiff engine mounts would help keep a mildly built engine from rocking too much, the wheelie bar keeps the entire car, with its squatting suspension, from twisting too much and throwing away some of that transfer of power to the ground.

If those bars stabilize the massive TS that an 8 second FWD car is gonna produce, then it serves a very GOOD purpose and no matter if you think it looks silly, it is NOT rice. What i said is that even if the car's performance is huge, even if it's definetely not a ricer, that stabilizer bar looks ridiculous. I've seen lots of high powered FWD cars and some of them had these bars, and they weren't nearly as exagerated.

High horsepower fwd cars have almost no traction on the front wheels. The wheelie bar keeps the front wheels planted. Notice how the car doesnt lean back on acceleration because of the g forces.

@MisterMillian hahaha alright, let me try and explain.when a RWD car launches with enough force to create a wheelie, it does so. the same effect happens with FWD, IF they launch really well, the front end will come up by laws of physics and intertia, but the front end is powering the car. so it has to keep as much traction on the front tires as much as possible, so they put that there to keep the weight from shifting back to the rear wheels. imagine it as pushing up the back of the car.
