In the last couple of years and I mean 2008 till now ford has started putting out some much better quality cars but this is very recent. The mustang is still a junker next to most other cars in it's class. I owned mustangs they are a mess under the hood and they don't last. My cousin swears by them and always has one broke down in the yard just like mine was.

@superranger94 if you have a 315hp engine with 12 grand invested that cant match up or be over 505hp you either A. got extremely overpriced for your upgrades and tune B. put in a bunch of tvs, gamesystems. rims, big ass spoiler, and a body kit like a ricer.
I have traction control in my 2001 mustang gt... Its always on unless you press the button. That is what happens when you have it on, it won't allow any tire spinning.
A stock c5 Z06, is a pretty good match for a terminator with some modifications. You can get a C5 Z06 for like 25,000, though, and you've got one badass car right out of the box. It will do so much more than just kick ass at the strip, though. It's one of the best road course cars ever made.

@superranger94 search "FENRIS COBRA" not counting the cost of the car he spend 2 grand on the short block and machine work, poted the heads and intake himself, bought all the parts for a turbo setup for about 1600-1800 then installed the turbo kit himself, bought a tweecer and tuned it himself, and it makes 630hp at 15psi and runs 11.3 at 132mph with the stock suspension and transmission out of a 99 mustang gt, full interior.

@GoblinOfGanja your crazy a stock c5 traps 108-110mph even a bad driver in a Terminator can get 110-111mph out of a 100% stock Terminator. Plus a c5 is not cheaper you ae smoking some hardcore crack. They may be close to the cost of a Terminator but once you start modding that Cobra, onec again say bye bye to the bowtie:(
@wyldfantasyx yeah and you can put heads intake and exhaust on a c5 for 4k and watch that cobra blow as you put a 20psi pully onto it to keep up. or you can just turbo th bowtie and make 900 on stock internals.
@wyldfantasyx well first off a corvette c5 is cheaper than a terminator, believe me i really like them both. but secondly start modding the c5 with forced induction and your at ~550hp with just a magnacharger.
@wyldfantasyx C5's can be had for the same price as a terminator now.
However you can also just get a 4-5k LS1 fbody, put the extra money someone would of payed for a vette / cobra into the fbody and walk all over the terminator. $1500 for heads/cam, $500 for exhaust/intake $200 for some drag radials and you should have an 11 second fbody, and I exaggerated those pricers a bit even.
Put a blower on the LS1 and it's simply game over. Yeah terminators are nice, but you have to face the facts

@superranger94 if you have a 315hp engine with 12 grand invested that cant match up or be over 505hp you either A. got extremely overpriced for your upgrades and tune B. put in a bunch of tvs, gamesystems. rims, big ass spoiler, and a body kit like a ricer.

I have traction control in my 2001 mustang gt... Its always on unless you press the button. That is what happens when you have it on, it won't allow any tire spinning.

A stock c5 Z06, is a pretty good match for a terminator with some modifications. You can get a C5 Z06 for like 25,000, though, and you've got one badass car right out of the box. It will do so much more than just kick ass at the strip, though. It's one of the best road course cars ever made.

I just got a 2000 GT, how do i get that crap off? It has a switch, i click it on and off and no light comes on telling me its on or off. I try to do a burn out and the light flickers. So i flick the switch to turn it off and tray it again but the same thing happens. Is my switch bad?

@poipoy32 What I was thinking... I mean I own a T/A but either way I know if you have a 1998 Cobra which runs decent from the start, you put 12k into the car, and get dusted by a Z06? Kinda strange. If it was me first thing I would buy with that 12k is a 2.1 Kenne Bell S/C and 3:73 rear end that alone should be enough to run beside or smoke z06's... and that would cost you around $4,000 with another 8k you could turn it into a 10.??sec car easy.

@superranger94 search "FENRIS COBRA" not counting the cost of the car he spend 2 grand on the short block and machine work, poted the heads and intake himself, bought all the parts for a turbo setup for about 1600-1800 then installed the turbo kit himself, bought a tweecer and tuned it himself, and it makes 630hp at 15psi and runs 11.3 at 132mph with the stock suspension and transmission out of a 99 mustang gt, full interior.

@GoblinOfGanja @GoblinOfGanja I totally admit that a 02 ss is a beast and capable of keeping up with the cobra once a power adder is installed, but I am sorry the stock rod bolts on LS1 are weak links after 500hp and the 03 cobra shortblock can take 800+ so that right there makes it the better deal once you factor in a shortblock cost for the f-body to run at 600hp like you can with a Termie with only 5k in cost...

They may be close to the cost of a Terminator but once you start modding that Cobra, onec again say bye bye to the bowtie:(

@wyldfantasyx well first off a corvette c5 is cheaper than a terminator, believe me i really like them both. but secondly start modding the c5 with forced induction and your at ~550hp with just a magnacharger.

@wyldfantasyx C5's can be had for the same price as a terminator now.
However you can also just get a 4-5k LS1 fbody, put the extra money someone would of payed for a vette / cobra into the fbody and walk all over the terminator. $1500 for heads/cam, $500 for exhaust/intake $200 for some drag radials and you should have an 11 second fbody, and I exaggerated those pricers a bit even.
Put a blower on the LS1 and it's simply game over. Yeah terminators are nice, but you have to face the facts
