There is an article on CNN.com by the title why is the USA number one school shooting country in the world, i think every one shoud read it, understand it, and tell others aboutt it maybe it will help deter a shooting in the future and save lives.
Found this movie on netflix and decided to give it a watch, and it definitely didn't disappoint. Great movie about a married couple who are on the verge of divorce, then a tragedy breaks out and they are forced to cope with it together, bringing them closer than they ever were before.
One of the most melodramatic films I've ever seen in my life. The whole film involves close up shots of us watching people cry and cry for 2 hours. Good performances though. Everything else sucks. 3.9/10
It was a good movie, I don't think you can blame the parents though. I loved the scene the night before their son shot up the school. It really showed that he was depressed and how he was socially to his parents.
@FilmmakerRyan What do you mean by emotionally draining? It was a very sad movie I felt bad for his parents. And his father really was hit hard and showed his true colors near the end.
@ArthurHammerr Emotionally draining is a pretty self-descriptive term... Erm... Ah, it's like going to a funeral. By the end of the day, your nerves and emotions are just shot.
@ayenaj263 Oh ha yeah then I dont know cus you have to pay 8 dollars a month. Try hastings! It wasnt all good though just the parents crying most of the time but it was sad.
@andreap023 They're different the only thing they have in common is that their son kills students. Beautiful Boy is about the aftermath of what their son did and trying to figure out why and what they did wrong. We Need to Talk About Kevin is about the rising of a future psycho how the parents saw clear signs. And how the mother had a difficult time being a mother.
Really the point of the film isn't the reveal that the kid was a murderer. That is known immediately . What the film is really about is the struggle of parents trying to cope with such a horrible reality. We explore this awful hypothetical and we empathize with those who had the experience.
@bachelorette87 The song is Sea Of Regrets by the band I LIKE TRAINS from Leeds, England. Their songs have been used for other trailers such as Amelia, The Wrestler and for an episode of CSI Miami. You can watch the official vid for the song on their youtube channel iLiKETRAiNSofficial
When there are shooting at school..we should also remember the shooter has a family........I think it would be hard on the family to live in a small town after such a disaster..
Can someone tell me who sings the final song when the credits are rolling - so beautiful ! I can't find a soundtrack on AMazon. Superiro acting - just watched it last night .Will leave an impact.
While I didn't like this movie, it was everything that I should have expected it to be. It never really got exciting, but that is because it's main purpose was to show what it's like to go through that certain situation.

@seymourLlama Well its just basically about how the parent learn to cope with the situation, and the things that Sam has done actually are the only thing keeping them together. :P
This needs a game. A great one. Not a shitty one. I am gonna se it at fillmsi.co.cc. If this film were the real world I would die or orgasms. Looks amazing. Chuck Norris does this daily.

I have a feeling the son was the murderer of the other students at the college... Maybe thats why they say: " We are deaply sorry for the devistation our son has caused".. This looks like a sad movie
@snowycatty Hmmn I'm not sure if it's based on a book, sorry! XD But I think those books above deal with similar plotlines and themes. They do stay with you afterwards for a while, but are well worth the read (:
Just saw this. This was absolutely amazing. It really brought such a new perspective on these types of incidents. I felt every single word Maria and Michael said. It was so powerful.
@prettyheartmakeup: It's about the parents of a boy, who went on a killing spree in school ... and the aftermath of that massacre & how the parents deal with it.
@arch37 Try to give them love is all right. But please, dont start to come with Jesus and any stuff like that. Religion led us where we are now. You doubt it? @arch37 oh please dont bring this religion stuff into it! dont forget a lot of wars were and are being fought because of god or whatever. my parents dont believe in religion and still brought me up to live in love. i live a happy and full life. i dont need a book to tell me how to live.
@AzaZeLgaming hey i dont disagree i strongly agree.. i see religion as a way of controlling ppl. and our histories is littered with religious wars and its used for political play, power and control. it just naffs me off that its used for this very reason. religion should be sacred (even tho i dont believe). I respect it a lot but when its used in a way the poster did its gets me annoyed. its exactly what the poster is doing which gives religions a negative rep.
@pongsifu666: First of all, Freemasonry ≠ Christianity ... and secondly, Norway massacre had nothing to do with religion, but once again, right-wing politics.
It doesn't matter what the reason was, the point is being Christian doesn't stop people from doing things like this. I mean...the leader of a fundamentalist church was on the FBI's top 10 most wanted at one point and just got life in prison. Religion of any sort doesn't stop people, which is the point.
@pongsifu666: True ofc, but you do realize that there is a certain point when after crossing it, ppl & things cannot be called "Christian"? If you look for example the teaching of Jesus Christ, there is no way in hell you can call ppl like Anders, a christian. The whole term "Christian" comes from the Greek word "christianos", which means "follower of Christ" ... and by the acts which Anders committed, Jesus was appalled by them.
... ppl like those, simply cannot be called a Christian, since by the definition, they are NOT following Jesus Christ. Not by their heart, nor by their acts.
... so basically on the contrary, being a Christian will stop ppl doing things like these, since by the definition, Christians are following the teachings of Jesus Christ which are pacifistic by nature.
@AzaZeLgaming Did you read the bible? It seems you missed many passages. Have a read on the evilbible website (first google link) for a quick reminder of what the bible teaches. You can navigate the site by choosing a category on the left, like "rape" or "murder". Direct quotes from the bible.
Well, even people who don't go around killing people don't exactly live their lives according to the religion they supposedly subscribe to. Strange and obscure parts of the bible that nobody follows aside, Christians have a hard time even following the basic 10 commandments.
@arch37 I'm sorry , I'm a strong believer in Jesus but ...You don't know them , you don't know him.
You can't say what they did and did not do , and shame on you for assuming so.
Cause sometim- I can't even begin to explain how you DO NOT understand. Only they know , and possibly they don't even know where along in their lives did they go wrong and now THEY have to live with this. THEY have to wake up everyday and THEY have to live it day by day. So don't you dare sit there at the computer
@arch37 and say that they did not 'train' the boy. HE WAS A HUMAN BEING , HE WAS A CHILD. You do not train children , you love them! So you yourself have just sinned for judging , mocking and speaking ill of them. HOW DARE YOU.
Educating is a part of living love with your children! What you educate them with
is a part of Love. God is Love! Just playing around with your kids is not getting them anywhere!
Of course you love them and giving them Jesus to copy is best! Come on! Try sharing positive ideas...
Fight criticism, especially when you don't know other well! This is just a short message I wrote & not complete at all! So, you're judging me critically? Try harder not to! --e
@arch37 Jump to conclusions? OH , as you did. Dont know you and try to speak out against you? OH like you did.. TRY TO NOT JUDGE YOU?! LIKE YOU DID TO THEM. Yeah , you get what you give Hun. back off!

@arch37
Oh, like the fundamentalist Christian that just went on a shooting rampage in Norway? Religion or lack there of has nothing to do with it.
pongsifu666 7 months ago
@pongsifu666: First of all, Freemasonry ≠ Christianity ... and secondly, Norway massacre had nothing to do with religion, but once again, right-wing politics.

... and for crying out loud, at least have a courtesy to read Anders manifesto before posting.

@AzaZeLgaming
It doesn't matter what the reason was, the point is being Christian doesn't stop people from doing things like this. I mean...the leader of a fundamentalist church was on the FBI's top 10 most wanted at one point and just got life in prison. Religion of any sort doesn't stop people, which is the point.
pongsifu666 6 months ago
@pongsifu666: True ofc, but you do realize that there is a certain point when after crossing it, ppl & things cannot be called "Christian"? If you look for example the teaching of Jesus Christ, there is no way in hell you can call ppl like Anders, a christian. The whole term "Christian" comes from the Greek word "christianos", which means "follower of Christ" ... and by the acts which Anders committed, Jesus was appalled by them.
AzaZeLgaming 6 months ago
... ppl like those, simply cannot be called a Christian, since by the definition, they are NOT following Jesus Christ. Not by their heart, nor by their acts.
AzaZeLgaming 6 months ago
... ppl like those, are simply abusing Christianity/Religion for their own gain.

AzaZeLgaming
... so basically on the contrary, being a Christian will stop ppl doing things like these, since by the definition, Christians are following the teachings of Jesus Christ which are pacifistic by nature.

@AzaZeLgaming Did you read the bible? It seems you missed many passages. Have a read on the evilbible website (first google link) for a quick reminder of what the bible teaches. You can navigate the site by choosing a category on the left, like "rape" or "murder". Direct quotes from the bible.

@seymourLlama: Yup I have read it ... but unfortunately I'm not a 2000+ year old Jew.

@AzaZeLgaming

Miinnniie 7 months ago
@Miinnniie Don't jump to conclusions!
