hi;

i got this item, too, and have had inconsistent results. on my iphone 3g, everything worked fine. with my girlfriend's iphone 3gs, no hands free phone feature. now i have an iphone 4, and not all iphone features work on it. for example if pandora is playing and you try to go out to check email, music shuts off. but ipod music will still play when running other apps....

is it loud?... does the ipod stay on while its plugged in or automatically go to standby?

@edgar5001 yeah it's loud, and yes the ipod or iphone will stay on while it is plugged in.
