if you still want to know it:

it's a yamaha cp-80(could be an other model too). Those were originally made for having a (quiet) good sounding piano on stage that is easy to carry. They're normally plugged into an amplifier. That's why it sounds so strange. He's not using it in the right way! There are pickups in there which transform the sound of the strings into electric signal. It basically works like an e-guitar!
