This came to Aus in 1999, best thing i hav ever seen. Been to all 5 cirque shows since then. Tooo bad none of em have quite lived up 2 this, the 1st one. They just announed this is returning in arena format. What is exactly ment by that, wat are the main differences apart from it not been in a tent? Where will it be held?

Sin duda lo mejor de Saltimbanco, recuerdo cuando lo vi que me impresionó mucho el tipo que sube y baja dando vueltas y solo con los brazos. Después de ver Saltimbanco, Alegria quedó en deuda, me esperaba algo aún más impactante. 5/5 , saludos desde Chile

To anyone that has seen Varekai and expects this to be similar, save your money. Yes the acrobatic feats were extraordinary (I mean, it's Cirque!) but is not a story. It was basically a series of circus acts and stunts with no cohesive storyline. When I saw the mime act followed by the juggling act I knew I should have read the reviews. My wife and I were disappointed at the $650 spent to take the family.

Again, this is not a story, it is just a cross section of circus acts.

That's kind of understandable, as Saltimbanco is a staging of an older Cirque show. For their earliest shows, there wasn't really a cohesive storyline. They did start moving toward a storyline thematically by Alegria, but the use of story framework was really used in Quidam and some later productions, like Varekai as you mentioned. But yeah, I can see how it would disappoint someone expecting a story framework like the later shows have.

I Watched Saltimbanco 4 times the last time the Cirque du Soleil came to the UK! I loved the show so much. I have also seen Quidam (in the UK) and La Nouba (when I went to Florida) I can't praise the Cirque enough! I think they are wonderful and all the artists are extremly talented.

Just saw this awesome show last night. The Chinese poles was one of my favourites, but really there was nothing about the show that I didn't totally enjoy! I agree that to take in the stage and all the action on it, you may want to be up a little and not too close to the stage. Having said that, if you are someone who likes to be part of the action, you will get lots with floor seats near the stage.

I have to agree with you...the seeing it live part, not the Delirium part, because I have not yet seen Delirium. But seeing Saltimbanco live, is SOOOOOO much better than the DVD I got. Not that the DVD isn't cool...it's just better to EXPERIENCE it live. With Saltimbanco, you don't watch it or see it, it is a show that has to be EXPERIENCED. And what a FANTASTIC experience it was! I saw it Thursday, April 3 at the Qwest Center in Omaha. One of the best shows I've EVER seen in my entire life!!!!!

When i saw Delirium it was row 3 it was awesome but the stage is so large for their events that it would be nice to be able to see every little thing thats happening.

Well I was looking at clips to get a idea of what Saltimbanco was. Last March I seen Delirium on a whim, when the commercial gave me goosebumps. I had just recently heard that Cirque Du Soleil is returning to Kansas with Saltimbanco. Viewing this I cannot wait til it gets here. The music is beautiful, its like a mix between Rock and Jazz. I love it, and I haven't even seen it live yet

I'm old, I remember when they originally did this act in 1993, they used Barock, and for the one Barock is used for, they used Saltimbanco.

Can't complain, but I felt the original pairing was better
