The statue of Nina is beautiful except her hair must be swept higher, like an African Queen wearing a crown, her cheeks should be a tiny bit higher and her the arch of her nose a little slender sort of sweeping up like the crown of hair. She is done so wonderfully here but it is the tiny inflections only she could do in her music that the artist must do with his scapel. She was larger than life, now go on and imagine beyond a photo, feel her like she sang the notes. She invoked beauty always.

Very different interpretation from the original version. In fact, from any version. The original version sounds hopeful. Most other versions sound hopeful and/or retrospective. Nina's version sounds painful. That's Nina. A genius at interpretation.
