oh sweet caparison! and tyrants......to own a caparison is one of my dreams..a san dimas as well...I'm die hard for the jackson family..great history. I also fuck with mesa boogie..although I'm thinking of going to Engl. My nomad 55 is amazing but I feel the highs get washed out and vice versa with the lows..cant sustain a low e while noodling the high e and b. what advice would you offer. I would appreciate it. caparison...you have taste friend.. hails and wails with blood in grails.

@MUERTE2007COL In this video I am using the Voodoo Lab GCX to switch the channels on the Mark IV. But I could have just used TC Electronic G Major 2 to switch the channels too. Also when I switch to the clean channel the G Major throws some Delay, reverb, and chorus on. All of this is controlled by my Voodoo Lab Ground control MIDI pedal.

And why you have replaced bridge pickup on Dimarzio Tone Zone, unless Bareknuckle it is not better for such music? After all these sound pickups complete guitars Caparison? I think if already and to put DiMarzio that it will be better D Sonic or X2N! I too to myself Tone Zone have bought earlier and was disappointed, have thrown it on a case, have then bought EMG 81 and now is happy as an elephant!

@victorjara767 I don't have tabs for the song. But if you look on youtube for "abbath guitar lessons" you will find a interview that guitar world did where abbath goes through many of his songs. That is how I learned Tyrants.

@metalmusiqcrzy well my Orbit is mahogany and it is a very big V shaped guitar. It made the RR1 I used to own look tiny. I would not be surprised if the Orbit sounded better than the explorer because of the Ebony fretboard and pro finish. Just saying the Orbit is awsome.

@jonathanbenaroche I don't play or listen to that kind of music. My gut says no though. Tech Death and djent band seem to favor EMG (Necrophagest use them), and BKP (bare knuckle pickups), or maybe Dimarzio D'activator. That would probably be a better bet.

@jonathanbenaroche Hmmm... all the pics I have seen he has EMG's. But what ever, he may have changed and the D'activators are meant to be like passive EMG's. There is no dilemma between those guitars. The RG3520ze is the one. I HATE middle pickups like in the 3550! We ordered a 3520 at our store for a customer, it is sweet! Stock EMG's that are body mounted. LOVE IT!!!!!

@jonathanbenaroche Ibanez is a very constant company and those guitars are basically going to feel exactly the same. The only difference between them is the pickgaurd (with the 3 pickup configuration, which I HATE!!!!) LOL!!! The color choices on the 3550. And the 3550 has a maple fret board while the 3520 is rosewood. The only "feel" and sound difference is going to be between the Maple (brighter sound) and the rose wood (warmer sound). But I guarantee that both guitars will play equally great!

Before I never really considered getting an Orbit, but I am going to Japan this August so after browsing JDM guitars again, the Orbit seems very nice in all aspects. How do you like it? Did you swap out the pickups yourself?

@Karura7 Thanks!!! Yeah I got both my Caparisons from Budd. I love my Orbit (even more than my TAT Special, not that the TAT Special bad). The Orbit just jones with me. The Pro finish is part of that. I fell in love with it. It is very course. But it is really comfortable because it never gets sticky feeling. And it develops wears as you play it, which I love.

I did swap out the pickups myself. The PH-R is great, but I want something with less gain. The Tone Zone is still too hot for me though.
