if the earth did stopped spinning, the oceans would continue according to the laws of momentum, and every landmass would be entirely demolished by tsunamis MILES high, travelling at mach 1.6 - no way the Egyptians would have survived to tell the tale

besides, think of the energy it takes to stop a car rolling - to stop the planet rotating would require so much energy it would entirely shatter the planet

"Miles high, 1.6 mach" - what? where did these numbers come from? your analogy with the car does not apply, the amount of energy to make these things happen is relative, we're talking on a cosmic scale - in which case, practically anything is possible.

Wouldn't gravity cease or deminish for the extent of the stop rotation causing surface objects to "float" until gravity engages again?

@swright75604 Good question, however, these are all theories. All we can say is that there is no evidence or ancient references to people or things floating off the planet during past events.

@swright75604 correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe earth's gravity is due to its mass, not the rotation. for example: moon has gravity yet does not rotate. the gravity it possesses is directly proportional to it's mass, like earth, and is why it is much weaker than earth. rotation of bodies may have little effect on gravity

@swright75604 gravity has nothing to do with this. every object, even you or your computer desk or a chair, has a gravitational field. just because you turn it around it doesnt mean the gravitational field will go away. and by the way, gravity has nothing to do with magnetism. if earths magnetic field goes away for example, it doesnt mean that everything will start to float.

wait...you said that the Egiptians said that the earth reversed rotation 2 times according to their ancient records. As far as i know Egiptian civilazation was around a few thousand years ago, not 100 of thousands of years so if they observed this event not once but twice then the earth changing rotation is hardly a world ending event.

The Egyptian's report of the sun rising from opposite directions, albeit twice, may not necessarily have been from personal observation. There are hints in the ancient records that the Egyptians had access to still much older records ... now lost to time. The Egyptians may have seen one reversal and pull up an ancient reference to another. So much can be lost in the translations of ancient writings. Who knows?

Just a thought ... or a possible resolution to the quandary.

Rock from volcanism can be eroded in various ways to stones, sand, clay. Then it can be baked back together by sintering or "glueing" by the introduction of solutions of water and minerals, it can be reheated and become metamorphic, may happen to all kinds of rock, the "standard theory" is that the slower a magma cools the larger the crystals become in it, where obsidian have cooled so fast it is amorphous; not crystalline at all just like glass.

Of course electricity can be part in the process.

If the Egyptians lived through 2 pole flips, and lived to tell about it, then one must conclude that NOT ALL volcano's erupted, and NO 80 thousand year ice age came from those 2 events.... You're on the right track for sure, but I don't think your analyzing all your data correctly, and how it relates to other data.

@DavesAV6 You are absolutely correct. Most people are not aware that I was not planning to lecture, but was asked. I created the slide show in one day. As a result, there are parts that needed more research and more correlation. My ongoing research has resulted in greater clarity and I have thrown out and updated the less validated conclusions with more realistic ones. Don't know if I will lecture anytime soon on these new findings, however, they create a much more viable picture.

There are so many things that aren't adding up to me, I can't even fit it in the 500 character limit. The dates and cycles seem to match on a superficial level, but trying to piece them all together they do not.

You have a 100,000 year cycle, a 26,000 year cycle and events that happened in the last 10,000 years, 5000 years and things that take millions of years to achieve to things that occur over 100's or 1000's of years. How could the earth even support life at all?

If the Egyptians have a record of not seeing the sun for two days then reported it rising in the opposite direction how does that match to what you are saying about all of the volcano's erupting at the same time. If they all erupted isn't it true that they wouldn't even see the sun because of the smoke?

@Fedcop78 There are many things that people may not know about the contents of this lecture. First is that I created the slide show and prepared the lecture in 2 days. It was not my intent to lecture publicly, but rather at the request of others. As such, you will notice that some of the material is incomplete and not researched thoroughly enough. Since that time, many of the theories have been researched more thoroughly and have either been discarded and replaced or modified with new insights.

@Fedcop78 Research has revealed that there does not appear to be any evidence of volcanic nuclear winter events that trigger the 102k yr ice age cycle. Research does prove that all major temperature variations on Earth are directly related to solar output. Some cosmic force is influencing our Sun and is supposed to cause it to burn excessive amounts of energy. Thermodynamics and physics would suggest that such a burn would likely cause the Sun to then enter an extreme cooling cycle.

So when the earth changes direction....... for any amount of time, it has to , not rotate at all in order to change to the opposite direction. Wouldn't this burn what ever is in line with the sun?

Absolutely correct. The same cosmic influence that causes the Earth to reverse direction is also supposed to cause the Sun to become 20% to 30% hotter during the process. The pause in rotation and excited state of the Sun will burn 1/3 of the Earth's surface. This event has been described both in ancient historic records and future prophecy.

Earth stops rotating, but the oceanic waters will keep running east due to inertia... It means that all coastal regions which have the ocean at west will be submerged... but it doesn't mean the coastal regions that have the ocean at east will be safe, the will be flooded too, when the ocean waters refluxe. Interesting. I have never thought about that.

Interesting theory about the volcanic origin of all rocks. I'm sure that means the red sandstones of the southwest are volcanic, although a geologist would disagree. No doubt geologists are paid to hide the truth from us. I'm glad that you somehow found this out.

You read my mind! I was born and raised in Co. I grew up in a place called rocks borough . If you are a golfer you may have golfed there for it has one of the most popular ranges in Co. The rocks shoot out of the ground just like in the video reference to Utah and they stretch all the way to a place called Red Rocks amphitheater and beyond.

Another fun thing to due with global map is to look at alignment of largest continuous mountain ranges. I thought of this when seeing Buckminster Fuller's unique map of earths crust as one large tetrahedron unconnected and the way landmass laid out. Your Western US geology discussion prompted this recall. The effect of natural formations and impact of forces on them: shearing, uplift thrust etc... Excellent compilation of work - five stars!

Great work in providing a holistic view. Half way through and I've read most of the theories you've expounded upon through various sources. In simplest terms could you say the earth as a magnetosphere going through these natural cycles is much like a yoyo (oblate sphere) and the galactic rotational plane is the string. Evrytime it goes through this plane the forces external forces are amplified and cause cataclysmic event due to reversal. Thus massive crustal displacement and erosion.
