how does this compare to the Beam?

The Beam is still a 450 size heli, the Gauzar is a 480 size, it can run up to 350mm blades with the extended tailboom. Its also has the floating flybar. You can do your research at Hobby-Lobby, they carry both the Mars and the Poseidon.

i just finished building my poseidon cf pro. with this current setup how many minutes can nick fly 3d with what lipo?

I beleave hes running the Evo Flight power prolight 2500mAh 3s, but you might need to run a 25C or 30C battery, Thunder power V2, or Enerland 30C 2000, it will keep the heat down on those hot days. Average fight like this is about 6 min, but hes flying hard. That motor pulls over 55 amps, that alot of juice.

i also own the mars480 that have lingo9 4400kv motor 10t and scorpion 55a esc. with 100% throttle curve on idle i will only get 3 maybe 3:30 minutes before the thunderpower 2200mah 25 3s is spent. its gets hot too.

thats why i'm running 4-cell setup on my Poseidon to keep everything cool.

its the new top of the line Taiwanese RC helicopter range. I've got the Mars (same as the poseidon, just look different). And hell, good bye to t-rex 450se v2.

Hobby-Lobby has this heli, and the wright ups for it. I own about 3 of each, and I also own the trex 450. Ive had the trex since the SE came out, and I have more time on the Mars then the Rex, it just flies better.

peak of this setup will be over 50Amps, so 45Amps esc  is not safe.
