This is by far one if crue's best albums. They shit that Nikki wrote was pure genius and full of life,combined with Mick's gritty blues style of playing,John's gritty and powerful voice and Tommys spontaneous drumming,this is something they shouldve stuck with,I love Motley with Vince but it wouldve been amazing to see where this went as side project of some sorts.

The Corabi album was definitely the heaviest in Motley Crue's catalog, thanks in no small part t John's gritty voice and whatever Mick did to get that ultra-heavy guitar tone. Too bad that collaboration never went beyond that one album.

I like the sound the Crue had going with Carabi on vocals and he played guitar...Fuller sound..I have thieir only Cd made. Had they used a differant name and kept it going they would have been able to pull off what Creed did doing Alterbridge...

Two different sounds but both heavy in their own way of playing.

Vince Neil was is Motley Crue and it's a West Coast sound...

Saw them on this tour along with about 150 others for $7. I'd seen the band before and I was absolutely stunned by how much better they were with Corabi. He added more than just a guitar and vocal, be brought a cohesiveness to the band. Oh well.

This was the last cool thing the crue did. They should have either carried on with crab (changing their name at the same time), or just packed it in, because everything they have done since this has been awful.

Agreed! The record was actually pretty good, but it wasn't a Mötley Crüe record. They'd established themselves as the Green Day of Heavy Metal. Trying to become this serious, heavy grunge band was a misstep. They're solid musicians who can hack it, but this really isn't them. Their winning formula is to sleaze up a pop melody. Riff-heavy jam songs aren't Mötley Crüe's forté. They're Cheap Trick meets Quiet Riot, not Alice in Chains, Pantera or whoever else they were trying to be in 94.
