@bushbasher46 If you look I only have 12 videos. I show all the steps for making a wind turbine. I cut down my videos considerably and it still takes about 50 minutes or 4 to 5 videos to show step by step how to do it from begining to end.
I see alot of people using electric motors and pulleys to make a coil, but shit man, this has to be the best homemade device i have ever seen! The entire thing is frickn beautiful. I am really impressed with it. By any chance would you sell one of those?
@woodburyadpost Thanks for the props. I live in Costa Rica and the mail system here is primative at best and cost alot to mail things. Its not to hard to build just using stuff laying around. If you need any help online let me know.
what's the significance of 70 and 120 in making the coils and how does the diameter of the wire affect the winding?(thinner wire= less space for more windings? )
@eastsidesigns1Tthinner wire = more space for more turns . Also the smaller the wire the higher your volts will be but less amps. So the trick is to get the right combination of high enough volts to charge your batterys but not to high because more amps will charge the batterys faster.
@DEWessonsax I really needed to make this coils with more turns like 120 verses 70 I could never get my volts over 6volts with the wind conditions I have here. All the videos for making coils that I have seen show using one wire. I am now more interested in making some serpentine coils I hear they are much more efficient.
@enticed2zeitgeist No it does not have to be enamel coated wire but you want get much voltage out of it. The Idea is to get as much wire as close together as possible in the coils so to get the most voltage from each passing magnet.
@skyJets What I thought enticed2 was asking was could he use regular plastic coated wire. Which you could it just would not be very efficient. I was giving him the benifit of a dubt that it would be silly to use bare copper wire.
you take wax, melt it for example at a deep fryer or a pot a put the coil into it for some minuten or so on (i don´t know how long it takes) a then you put it out let it cool down and you have a coil that will stick together itself.
sorry for bad english im not englisch or american i´m german.
@queball147 I used about 70 turns, The voltage depends on how fast it spins, I dont have a way right now to measure the rpms, I know my turbine spins too slow to make usable power from this PMA. I guess about 70 RPM gets about 5 volts'
I am about to do further Research But, How Does one know how many winds do you require ? i am sure there's some sort of regulation on the number of winds needed or required. My interest in this matter as i was looking to make a voice coil and i had no idea or know the principal behind the winded coil. Any helpful websites you recommend??
A question, can I make a antenna out of a coil, I think I could because it makes an electromagnetic force around itsself if you wind it in a bolt and connect 2 ends to positive and negative ends of an antenna to make it more powerful and if anyone say it doesn't tell me how should I make a powerful antenna, Thanks.
@billmalta1 I found some of the info for coil size to magnet size on VAWT.net its a forum with alot of guys from utube. Muddyman and Lynxsteam have good videos on electric theory that could help you also. I am working on another video that may help also it will be done soon.Good luck
Care to share where you purchase your coil wire from? I'm new to this so I really haven't found many local sources. And the Internet stores I've seen are rather pricey. Everything looks fantastic though. Very clean work!
@brown55061 I was able to find the wire locally at a electric supply company. Try to find a electric motor repair company or a big electric supply warehouse. They sell it here by the kilo, I got 10 kilos for about $ 70 dollars and it is enough wire to make a little more than 3 stators. I have seen people on Utube recycle wire but it seems like a lot of work. Good luck.
nice video in 2 ways i learn how to make free engery and sleep well. yeah your voice made me sleep and thats not bad i like to sleep and listen to cool stuff like this.
I am working on a wind generator as well. I used a drill with a mold like yours there to wind coils with like 25 gauge wire very thin takes a long time if I didn't your epoxying along the way is a good idea keep from loosing up.
i wise you guys would do a complete video on how to make a gen and the parts used and show it working not these damn little bits

This is so informative and well done. Thank you for sharing.... I think I might try and build a generator from scratch!

I see here your using 1 strand of wire as opposed to 2 strands, what are the differences in volts and watts. Thanks for the upload.

Does it have to be enamel coated copper wire? Where do you get that stuff anyhow and how much is it usually?

@Aceman307 You can't use bare copper for coil windings. It would be like having a shorted coil ???

Do you know like how many amps does it make in a 70rpm wind?

Hey did you try to wax the coil ?
I got the idea from building a guitar pickup.
you take wax, melt it for example at a deep fryer or a pot a put the coil into it for some minuten or so on (i don´t know how long it takes) a then you put it out let it cool down and you have a coil that will stick together itself.

does it matter what gauge wire you use? is one size better than another? i'm about to buy a big spool and get to work on one of these myself.

Very good how many coil winds did you do? also you said 24 magnets and 9 coils what voltage will this give off? thanks

Hi Aceman
I just got my disc magnets 50mm dia/ 15mm
I am not so sure about the coil (Dia/ W) dimension and wire dia...
Can t find anything helping on the net... ;o(
Any idea how should i proced?
Thank s
