  • Bring it back snap it off bring it back snap it of x5

  • the thing you said about accuracy...not true

  • bring it back...miss the net a lot!! xD

  • i think you might want to snap it off then bring it back

  • /Thank you.

  • Mac

  • he missed the net alot XD

  • snapidov, new player eh?

  • You bring the pen!s back, then you snap it off at your target.

  • the only thing good in this vid is his gloves.

  • dont shoot of your inside foot...

  • @TheBronco64x No b'y shot off your outside foot.

  • that guy just went 1 for 6

  • mckomm, yes it is.

  • not a snapshot

  • no,you snap it off and bring it back

  • He hit like 3 posts so he was probably trying to show accuracy by hitting the posts.

  • 1:35 Bar Down...

  • he said being accurate all i heard was the glass and posts

  • @FatDrummerXD haha yeah i heard a lot more iron and glass than net

  • OH! snap it off THEN bring it back

  • @bigcomphycouch no i think its snap it back bring it off, but i could be wrong

  • "Its going to be more accurate than wrist shot.."

1:15 he misses two first shots from the slot

  • @TheQneb thats funny but even though he missed those it is true snap shots are more accurate

  • I snap it off quick too.

  • you made 2 shots out of all of them

  • i miss playing hockey, why the fuck did i quit ? :'(

  • good one thanks

  • 1:14-1:42 Now, what do you need to do? :D

  • @Dumbopuh bring it back and snap it off

  • bringit back snap the off bring it back snap it off like this!

  • u missed the net half the time lol

  • @patmanzi you start the puck back too you get more power that way by pulling top hand back and pushing front hand foward equals more flex

  • a real important part is flex with these modern sticks

  • Simply perfect :)

  • this guy has no idea what hes talking about. its not a snap shot if your pulling the puck back. You will have a quicker release and harder shot by opening and closing your blade and rolling your wrists off your front foot. You waste time by bring it back ya dumb ass. I think thats why your hitting the glass every shot....

  • LOL he said you have to snap your wrists....

  • Snap that shit off

  • It helps me if I know what is SUPPOSED to happen rather than just going through the motions . . . (bring it back, snap it off . . . ). Remind you, I've only been playing for a little over a year and half that first year was learning to skate!

  • @phoenixicarus I would start practicing wrist shots, i think you'll find them easier to lift the puck off the ice at first

  • I could use some help. I picked up hockey last year and I've been working on trying to develop a stronger shot off the ice this summer. Correct me if I'm wrong: when shooting, the puck is meant to be "scooped" or lifted off the ice by the stroke and "flung" into the net with the follow through -that's how you get speed and accuracy. I've been practicing for a couple of days and I'm still having a tough time getting my shots off the ground.

  • He'd probably be more accurate without the fancy "bring it back" part and just stuck with "snapping it off".

  • he have look to the golie not puck

  • this guy snipes...glass.

  • hit the net bud

  • wait what are you supposed to do after you bring it back? i didnt hear him the first 8 times. haha

  • @mclainO9

    snap it off!

  • this helped alot thanks

  • is this grundys?

  • snap it off than bring it back?

  • bring it back and then what do you do

  • got it. bring it it back and snap it off.

  • wait do i bring it back or snap it off first?

  • lol pause at 2:32 if he was in a game and he gets hit like that he will get fucked

  • @funnychild1232 ahahahahhahahaa

  • You're not supposed to look at where your shooting the whole time. I just heard Hank Sedin say the other day: "I like to take just a sneak at the open area where im going to shoot then take my shot."

  • So you're saying, bring it back and snap it off??

  • he says its more acurate then a wrist shot, i heard him hit the glass 15000 times

  • it's the same action as the wrist shot, only the puck is not on the stick the whole time but your hands and stick are doing the same thing more or less.

  • thanks really helped im the best player in my time because i can easily start a breakaway because im real fast at skating all your tutorials really helped and i never missed a goal oppurtunity finally i think im going to get in the nhl

  • You say it's more accurate than the wrist shot, but you hit the glass like 5 times...try hitting the net more often before stating that its accurate

  • bring it back...what was that next part?

  • practice makes perfect, or close to.

  • God I hardly hit cross bar, I can't get power behind it, even using weight I suck

  • how do u aim with this shot?

  • @stepbak91 practice once you get good enough ith the snapping motion you should be able to do it without looking, but for practising keep your eye on the puck till about halfay through then look

  • hit the net?

  • i think you bring it back and snap it off

  • @SoYxB0Mb Im still a bit unsure... was it bring it back and snap it off?

  • @PH0T0GRAPHS yeah, its hard to explain with words....

  • @gshow9 , when you're talking about how likely a puck is to end up somewhere, is it more likely to end up in the net or hit post? Anyone can put a puck in the net, he's trying to hit post to demonstrate. He may not hit the net, but you can't spell, moron. Thanks for the tips, Hockey Us, you helped me improve shooting a lot.

  • thanks for the help

  • I though your supposed to start from the toe then drag it to the heel then snap it off

  • @westcoasthockey12 yeah either works it's prefrence. I can get a better shot off using the toe. But how he's demonstrating is usually quicker

  • @westcoasthockey12 how can u drag it to the heel from the toe

    its like impossible...

  • @sabrejacker nope

  • hit the net... its great shot i had 60 goals for honeybaked last year all with this shot

  • Good tip hockeyusdotcom, just a quick question: Is this more of a wrist/forearm strength to have a crisp hard shot or a technique thing?

  • Gotta love the sound of skates digging into the ice and when he's turning.

    Good video too

  • how can i make my shot harder coming in on a rush????

  • @groundon1321 flex your stick and lean into the shot as you release

  • when i take a snapper in mtion it always flips around i can never get a good solid shot got any tips

  • @icdpckrs turn the blade over would help i think..

  • look at it on 6:09

  • ''Bring it back, snap it off, Bring it back, snap it off, Bring it back snap it off, Bring it back snap it off...'' i will hear those words in my head for about a week now.

  • younger kids do dont have the strength in their forearms for an explosive shot using the flex in thier stick.... figure it out

  • Cheers man, this really helped me get more speed on my shot :D

  • the dood cant evan hit the net

  • its just a really bad wrist shot until he starts skating around... then it gets a bit better but still more of a wrist shot

  • last time i checked, wrist shots are more accurate than snap shots.

  • thats basically a wrist shot bro.wtf snap snot is like half slap shot. only a right handed person would think of that. maybe get some double runners cause you can barely skate!!! dont break a hip old man

  • cant you bann the chirper about hitting net? Or are you going to let him start up on the way he dresses comparing his own panties to the shooter. Only a moron would think a dude with his hands cant hit net.

  • cant you bann the chirper about hitting net? Or are you going to let him start up on the way he dresses comparing his own panties to the shooter. Only a moron would think a dude with his hands cant hit net.

  • That's not a snap shot... A snap shot is used to surprise the goalie and release the puck before he realizes you're shooting it, it's nothing like a wrist shot at all and you shouldn't be telegraphing the shot like in this video.

  • Thanks so much for this video, I'l try to practice doing that shot at stick n' puck

  • most of them he hit post. at the end theres only like 2 pucks behind the net. he didnt miss

  • if you guys are soo damn good and have so much shit to say about this guy why dont you make your own fucking video if yins are sooooo goood!

  • just watch the kovalev warrior video

  • ive seen other people do snapshots other ways so idk which way i shud practice

  • it is not as accurate as a wrist shot.

  • haha all i hear is the puck hitting the glass! hit the net!

  • im not sure but... i think you

have to bring it back then snap it off? haha!

  • If he's doing a wrist shot you wouldn't hear a 2 reflex sound on the ice

  • wait.. so, you bring it back then snap it off?

  • EXCELLENT advice. He perfectly illustrates the modern snap shot both in motion and standing still. This shot is big money but takes a lot of practice to get comfortable with. In motion, at full speed, you can seriously scare goalies with it. Both because of power and deception of release.

  • Thanks for the pointers. My wrister and slapper are fine but my snapper is weak.

  • good video. it was explained pretty well.

also the website hockeyus loads pretty slow for me idk about anyone else. its hard to browse when i spend 30 seconds to load one page lol

  • For me yes its a quicker release but i like the wrist shot better its more of a dangerous shot, players like sakic abd kovalev are pure snips riffles. Thats why sakic kniwed for his quick wrist shots and kovalev knowned as the AK 27

  • stop hating eachother lol! we are neighbors!

  • Apparently, turning a discussion about hockey tips into a flag-waving, nation-bashing, insult fest is an activity enjoyed on both sides of the border.

Thanks for the tip, HockeyUs, it should hopefully improve my snapshot. It is my hope that maybe, just maybe, one day, people who are not interested in watching videos will decide not to watch them, as opposed to either picking fights with people they don't know, or commenting about how they have no need for this video. What a world that'd be.

  • I agree, people are stupid and need to grow up.

  • @nbkau8b Damn right, this guy is awesome. He gave the best video I've seen of how to do a snap shot. Bring it back....snap it off...that's something I'll remember since he repeated it several times. People busting on him for restating it over and over aren't that good I'm guessing.

  • @nbkau8b fuck you mr inspirational you cant stop me u little piece a shit suck my dick

  • Canada > U.S in hockey .

    End of discussion.

  • @SENSationalSenators oooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhh not since yesterday lol

  • Yeah , americans rule at declaring war, and invading countries.

  • if it wasnt for us you and your fruit cake country wouldnt be mentioned in this world ever, quit letting terrorists in the country ahole

  • This is why USA gets no respect. Thanks for furthering my stereotype about americans. I bet youre also overweight and jobless, plus you have kids with your sister.

  • hahah i'm actually kid and were i'd say a little more advanced than u queers, just a little, so lets not make judgements cuz i can do the same about u

  • "Im actually a kid" Thanks for clearing that up, as if we didnt already know.

  • haha k bro, amazing comeback

  • if you havent noticed us americans are not very worried what foolish canadiens think , we are superior, and the leafs blow, but if you play for toronto you are seen as a great player, move up in the standings then open your mouth, the NHL should leave canada all together, keep your gay CFL FAG

  • Yeah insult the cfl. If you havent noticed, its basically the same thing as the nfl, except we have one less chance at getting a first down. Also why should the NHL leave canada when over 60% of the players are canadian. You are really a stupid american arent you? PS , you spelt CANADIAN wrong, but why am I surprised?

  • haha if it wasn't for the american business men behind the scenes of everything ur ignorant ass sees, who run the NHL there would be no such thing as the NHL, thats why it's out of America, its where the real business is. So, jpnobs99 has a very good point

  • American businessman? Like who? Gary Bettman?

  • sorry for the mis spelled word just shows how little you mean, hockey hitman knows the real deal, so 60% are from canada, how many are educated? are you?

  • LOLLL The american asking the Canadian if he's educated. Isn't that ironic? Go fuck your sister, hillbilly.

  • Wow there are more rural area's in Canada.

If I had a sister I probably would rather do her than your pregnant stripper wife/girlfriend escort with no teeth due to your national healthcare. you are an Eskimo pig fucker, tons of caniedan hockey players fill your numbers, period. You northerners think you are the shit, you call us warlords, it is your passive fag country all the terrorists come in from and live in, now shut the fuck up and keep fucking your dog, REDNECK

  • Terrorist? Redneck? Canada? Americans ARE dumb.

  • even the hillbillies in america r probably smarter than u. It's funny how u canucks constantly criticize us americans for no reason at all, just cuz u feel like it. Unfortunately people aren't crossing the american-canadian border to go live in canada. Obviously your the one w/ the problems w/ all your damn criticism.

  • You have no background knowledge of anything whatsoever. Im just going to stop talking, because you're making yourself look like an idiot. Also, the WORLD hates you, not just us.

  • hahah well we'll beat the shit out of the world then, and thx for pointing that out bro

  • hahaha sooo true

  • hockeyUs ?????

who wants to learn hockey from americans, their shit.

  • This leafs fan loves that sens fan.

  • @SENSationalSenators dude im canadian. i personaly think canada is way better at hockey than america, but just cuz there american, doesnt mean they dont know hockey, its just we know it better!

  • Sorry, they dont.

  • lmfao ya, i know, just being nice

  • Plus 1 for you. :P

  • haha then dont waste your incredibly value time watching it. Go chop down some trees shitshow

  • Go invade Iraq faggot

  • go do nothing whatsoever for this world faggot. haha all the canucks just get so jealous, I'll never kno y

  • hmm...i wonder who won the gold medal in hockey at the olympics.

  • When you push the puck forward, do you hit the ice and then the puck, or just hit the puck?

  • have you though about the fact that he was aiming at the goal post every time. What is the point of shooting at empty net.

  • hhaa.your right.

  • @HockeyUsDotCom lol I get that too. They're be like "Your shots are going high missing the empty net." and I'll be like "I'm aiming for the bar."

  • @HockeyUsDotCom He's shooting at the wrong leg

  • @HockeyUsDotCom to pick corners

  • coaches are not always great players. i am pretty sure if you play hockey you'd play better than most of the nhl coaches.

  • Aren't NHL coaches just for the mental part of hockey, plays, lines, etc?

  • what I was trying to imply was that theoretical information is almost always what you need to be able to teach. for example a coach might not shoot incredibly, but can teach with the aspects and techniques. maybe nhl wasnt a good example:))

  • Well you little dipstick, you see where the pucks are near the end of the video? In or in front of the net, how would he miss and get it to stay in that area? Explain that to me boss.

  • @iamtyler21 last two shots didn't sound like misses.

  • @iamtyler21 haha i agree :D

  • @iamtyler21 actually 5 and 6 hit the post so u dont actually know that they missed

  • @iamtyler21

what are you talking about? Look in the net at the end of the clip. All the pucks are in the net. Besides, he was showing technique. Not trying to score. If you don't like his technique go somewhere else. But the snapshot is still the same.

  • @iamtyler21 EAT SHIT.

  • @iamtyler21 the technique is the most important thing here..

  • @iamtyler21 hes not teaching how to aim you fucking idiot, the form used to take a snapshot, stupid americans dont no shit

  • @iamtyler21 dum fuck

  • Does anybody know what blade this guys is using?

  • im thinking its lindstrom

  • Thanks man

  • lol u fail at shooting XD

  • Nice vid. ! Awesome skill training!

  • here tht echo at 1:20

  • i have that stick i love it

  • tits on my face?
