Remember that in the text, Paul says for the women to be silence and not ask questions until they were at home. From the context I just set up, it makes sense. Obviously, women yelling across the church to ask their husbands question would be disturbing, so that is why it was forbidden

So they wanted prostitutes to not speak, and solicit themselves during the church service. But because the English language is so incredibly flawed. Oh, and the whole "Women must submit" is simply because women have a role in relationships. And men have a role in relationships. Men are protectors and leaders. It's not about complete domination.
