General Petraeus is a great commander and well known for his service. He should be either President, Sec of Defense or Chair man of the Joint Chief of staff.
you know whats funny, the US has WORKED WITH THE QUDS FORCE with 100% knowledge of the president and intelligence services.
In September 2007, a few years after the "American Hiroshima" book was published, General David Petraeus reported to Congress that the Quds Force had left Iraq. Petraeus said, "The Quds Force itself, we believe, by and large those individuals have been pulled out of the country, as have the Lebanese Hezbollah trainers that were being used to augment that activity."[14]
The U.S. Special Operations teams consisted of U.S. Army Rangers and Delta force under the command of CENTCOM General Tommy Franks. Iranian forces consisted of agents of the Qods Force under the command of Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, commander of the Pasdaran. The Northern Alliance faction consisted of over 5,000 militiamen under the command of Ismail Khan, a commander in the previous Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan and former governor of Herat before the Taliban came into power in 1995.
I think that General Petraeus deserves to be given a fifth star and the Congressional Medal of Honor for his service in Iraq and Afghanistan. I also think that he would do a great job as either Secretary of Defense, National Security Advisor or Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. I also think that General Petraeus would be one of this country's greatest Presidents in the White House since Richard Nixon. Katie Couric also looked very beautiful as well.
So maybe General Petraeus doesn't have political ambitions ... but can America have those ambitions on his behalf? Can we sneak David's name onto the ballot somehow and "surprise" him by electing him as president in 2012? Wouldn't that be funny ... if we "accidentally" got him elected without him even knowing it? The guy who knows what's going on everywhere? Playing a practical joke on General Strategist?
I heard An interview with the general on the BBC world service and he was very down to earth, he was witty smart and responded well to questions. Unlike politicians he calls a spade a spade
David Patreus is just an American terrorist who sucks Zionist cancerous cock and wants the USA to claim all of Afghanistan's natural resourcse and blow up the natives, so Jews and Zionists can masturbate and ejaculate over dead natives murdered by Birtish terrorists. America, Israel and Great Britain are the real racialists and terrorists who also the cancer of humanity. Tiochfaidh Ar La.
I think that General Petraeus has done a great job in dealing with the War in Iraq as the Commander of U.S. and Allied Forces in Iraq. Petraeus is also doing a great job as the Director of U.S. Central Command. I thank General Petraeus for his service in the protection and defense of this country.
He's a great American, and IMO will go down in history with Stonewall Jackson and Patton and Lee and Montgomery and all the rest of the finest generals this country has ever produced.
So? Who cares what I say. Have you never seen a person in a random video get a compliment for their looks? And why does it matter if a guy thinks another guy is cute?
How am I flaunting my sexuality when I just give an opinion on someone I think is attractive? I honestly don't see the problem with it. If I was a chick and I made a comment on General Petreaus's looks I guarantee you would think nothing of it.
@jmkpns The left would go insane if a 'warmongering' general took office, but what few people realize is that military leaders understand the in's-and-out's of the political game. Oh, and they completely understand politicians.
They're disciplined, intelligent, respectable, extremely good diplomats (they understand the system), and it's more difficult for one to have reputable military success than to have political success.
@ebtricks As much as I disagree with the Afghan and Iraq wars, a military general like David Petraeus would do a better job than what we have had in office from 1989 to present.
To someone like me when I hear people say that America is in her twilight years and that we are becoming weaker I can look to people like General Petraeus and say "really?"
air of confidence to say the least, West Point graduate, Ph.D. from Princeton, a lifetime of military service we need more leaders like this..."and what are you going to do about it general?"......"WHAT WE ARE infact doing about it...." haha the man knows how to talk
I'm reading a book about him called Tell Me How This Ends. Did you know during the 90's he was shot in the chest during a training exercise? Nearly killed him.
Petraeus is a soldier, though, heart and soul. He's been asked about that, and has stated that he has no political ambitions. It seems that isn't about to change anytime soon, though he probably would make a capable President if not a great one were he to change his mind.
@kcirtap01 it isn't only republicans who like petraeus, anyone who has a good head on their shoulders will realize that this guy is the real deal, less concerned with political dealings and more concerned with getting the job done. he also realizes that it won't end by next year in june.
@Srhandel Someone that knows what it's like to be a soldier...? Yeah right, that would make too much sense. He is way too level-headed and quick thinking to be a president. Won't stop me from writing him in though. He was quoted saying "If nominated I will not run, if elected I will not serve" which was a sherman quote. I really wish he would run though. I know a lot of people in the military and am on waiting list now for the Army and there is nothing but respect for this man.
@SilenceSlayer224 I think that General Petraeus has done a great job as the Commander of U.S. and Allied Forces in Afghanistan. General Petraeus has my respect and support for his service to our country.

KNIGHT IN SHINING KHAKIS
Our knight in shining armor -- khakis, boots, and cap,
in one hand is his phone, in the other hand a map,
David talks to his soldiers with his respectful, strong command,
as they work to save our nation with their brave and noble stand.
General David trains them well and will not let them fight
until they're pros in safety skills and military might,
so they'll return from the battle front as safely as they can,
for his soldiers are each precious to this military man.
eastariel 2 weeks ago
Wars rage on and have a way of making soldiers die.
General David hides his pain, and noone sees him cry.
But when he pins purple hearts on those who've survived a man's worst fears,
in David's eyes his soldiers see the sparkling of his tears.
He's proud of all his soldiers, and he gives them all the best
of the praise that often falls on him for his mountainous success.
If General David wished one thing for America to give:
He'd say, "Love our soldiers, one and all, for helping you to live."
