Yeah I was going to suggest that but there's no scientific evidence that it does anything. It has seemed to help when I've tried it before myself, but maybe that's just my imagination :P

Yeah that's when you're supposed to- before you get sick. In the past it's also seemed to work if I take antihistamines at the very first sign of symptoms... But again could be my imagination.

Garlic pills + vitamin C pills, 3 of each, 2x daily; that's my prescription for colds and flu. Seriously - a drummer I was working with told me about this regimen when I had gotten really sick during a tour. It was a HUGE help then (broke a persistent fever after less than 24 hrs), and has been a help to me numerous times since.
