I miss the old PC's from the 1980's that were very well built and lasted. Used to be that if the military was under threat, that they were told to take the keyboard and drive it through the PC to destroy it, now the keyboards would shatter in a million pieces instead. The old heavy glass monitors was also another way to smash the PC too, but now the flat screens would probably not take out the hard drive either.

@clubcar98 I thought I was the only one that slammed the computer mouse when the computer didn't go fast enough or respond... I've been through a lot of wireless keyboards and mice throughout the years!

they are made so cheap that if they get slammed just once they will stop working!

@TheOriginalHDChannel i just have a plain old IBM Model M keyboard. if properly taken care of, should last a long time. never failed me. i have to agree, today's keyboards, regardless of amenities, just don't last like they used to

@NYz3R0dAY I agree, I also has the same model keyboard that I found in the garbage and I have been using it for like 2 years. Seems like a lot of the USB keyboards spontaneously die, and a lot of those so called "spill proof" models still die if liquid falls in the right spots.
