Battle of Ong Thanh. A and D companies of 2nd BN of 28 Infantry Regiment of 1st Infantry Division attacked a base camp occuppied by the 271st Regiment of the Viet Cong. There were 1,200 VC in a prepared defense, so the VC have enough combat power to defend an attack of 3,600 infantry. We attacked them with 155 infantry and no fire support. Thank God the VC had marching orders and left.

There is nothing fake about this video. The ambush happened probably 15 to 20 minutes prior. The VC or NVA are long gone. Most of the fire you here is semi- auto because you didn't waste ammo on ghost. You never knew if there was something bigger coming. The "whooses" you here near the end are rockets from our gunships.
