And yes they are animals that enjoy being handled, Ours does.

@artthetwonk well in response to you, i could say the EXACT same thing to you about cats, dogs, birds, rodents, horses and just about ANY animal that is more common for people to own. a pet is a member of the family, no matter what species it is, mammal or arachnid. and if anything, this would be a much better watchdog than most animals. i mean, a giant spider just inside a door. that'd make more people back off than a dog, no matter the size. he loves his ts like his kids. hes not playing god.

hi rob i have a 3 yr old chilean rose tarantula called Iscarii... she stopped feeding last july and hasnt eaten since, i was told that she was probaly due a shed and not to feed her but to monitor her progress throughout the process... Its been 6 months since then and im worried she might be dying as she still hasnt shed and refuses to eat.... what can i do please reply to this as im at my wits end as to what to do with her and shes a beloved pet and my first ever tarantula...
@freakguitar1 i don't hate them haha i use to have a small fear of them but i got over it. and realize that i can get bit but it's my choice to ever handle any of my Ts so it would be my fault if i were to ever get bit. (being bit is the biggest and probably the only fear i use to have with tarantulas)
Tarantulas are gorgeous and fascinating creatures, and it's awesome that you treat yours like part of the family -I do the same- I think more people should learn about spiders before stepping on them or squishing them... And just learn to appreciate and respect other forms of life no matter how scary they might appear. People are so quick to kill what they fear. by the time people or humans will accept spiders and respect them just like other wild animals or even like cats and dogs .. then i believe people would be more human leading to a better society and tolerance.. spiders are solitary species mostly but there is a small percentage that behave in communities..and they manage to do it better than humans...ants and bees forms better societies even humans do.
the key to handle these is not to stress them up ... in fact all spiders react running if they are stressed up..and go to hide in their nests or borrows or holes or whatever,... for persons with phobia to overcome i suggest first to learn from trusted sites and books, learning and find what is truth and what is myth and there are lots of myths for spiders giving them a bad name then try to find or search a jumping spider they are like small cats in terms of behaviour curiosity and intelligence

@artthetwonk well in response to you, i could say the EXACT same thing to you about cats, dogs, birds, rodents, horses and just about ANY animal that is more common for people to own. a pet is a member of the family, no matter what species it is, mammal or arachnid. and if anything, this would be a much better watchdog than most animals. i mean, a giant spider just inside a door. that'd make more people back off than a dog, no matter the size. he loves his ts like his kids. hes not playing god.

@danelmcamis93 The gloves are to protect her from the urticating hairs which can really be irritating if any get on you.

@Torn80cj ok, i was just wondering cuz i never handled one, ive handled rose hairs a lot but most of them are a walk in the park i think id find handleing one of these bad boys quite intimidating to if i ever have a chance to get one i think ill just leave it in its enclosure cuz i wouldnt wana piss it off or make it feel skittish around me

hi rob i have a 3 yr old chilean rose tarantula called Iscarii... she stopped feeding last july and hasnt eaten since, i was told that she was probaly due a shed and not to feed her but to monitor her progress throughout the process... Its been 6 months since then and im worried she might be dying as she still hasnt shed and refuses to eat.... what can i do please reply to this as im at my wits end as to what to do with her and shes a beloved pet and my first ever tarantula...

@freakguitar1 i don't hate them haha i use to have a small fear of them but i got over it. and realize that i can get bit but it's my choice to ever handle any of my Ts so it would be my fault if i were to ever get bit. (being bit is the biggest and probably the only fear i use to have with tarantulas)

Tarantulas are gorgeous and fascinating creatures, and it's awesome that you treat yours like part of the family -I do the same- I think more people should learn about spiders before stepping on them or squishing them... And just learn to appreciate and respect other forms of life no matter how scary they might appear. People are so quick to kill what they fear. Very cool to see your great respect for these creatures! :) -Huge fan of your vids-

by the time people or humans will accept spiders and respect them just like other wild animals or even like cats and dogs .. then i believe people would be more human leading to a better society and tolerance.. spiders are solitary species mostly but there is a small percentage that behave in communities..and they manage to do it better than humans...ants and bees forms better societies even humans do.

the key to handle these is not to stress them up ... in fact all spiders react running if they are stressed up..and go to hide in their nests or borrows or holes or whatever,... for persons with phobia to overcome i suggest first to learn from trusted sites and books, learning and find what is truth and what is myth and there are lots of myths for spiders giving them a bad name then try to find or search a jumping spider they are like small cats in terms of behaviour curiosity and intelligence
