  • Thanks for the video it was super helpful....I just bought some shea butter and dont have a mixer either. So thanks, I tried using my blender after softing the shea butter at room temp. it wasnt what i expected and I was some what disappointed but now im happy because i re-did it your way and i think its going to work better this time. I kinda let it melt more than I wanted but Im going to let it cool at room temp so fingers crossed:)

  • thanks for the recipe! will try and see what happens

  • does this make your hair grow ???

  • wow thanks!

  • Another question; how do get or make raw shea butter?

  • @meandmyself364 You can store it at room temp so it can stay soft or in the fridge where it will harden. I bought my raw shea butter from the website butters-n-bars

  • Very good video, my question is how do you store it. refrigerate it or room temperature?

  • im a guy and i just whipped shea butter and instead of a hand mixer i used a whisk and a spoon and it came out fluffy and creamy

  • Question??? Does the shea butter stop up your drain?? My husband is certain that it is. I don't know. He's being trying for 3 weeks to get the drain free flowing, and when we shower, we stand in 1-1/2 in water :(..... Help!!

  • @Iamhappynappy I don't know if it can stop up a drain because I have never gotten in mine. Sorry I could not help.

  • @Iamhappynappy did you try pouring hot water down the drain to melt it?

  • @Iamhappynappy

If you drink coffee, pour the grinds down the sink! Two people have told me that it keeps their plumbing running without a hitch, it like fibre going through the pipes :P

  • I am Jamaican too (heard the accent speaking to ur baby lol...) so this is it i live in Utah, where its very dry and my hair and skin is suffering, i make my own coconut oil, mi granny teach mi...lol, but shea is very good too so i need to know if there is an online store where i could get the raw shea butter..to mix wid di olive oil...cause I cannot find it here.

  • I do not have a hand mixer either so I appreciate this video and I love that it was informative, straight to the point and the kids were adorable, "I love shea butter!" lol

  • i would like to know where u purchase the oils and essential oils from if you can inbox me please

  • thank you for the before and after of the shea butter and the black soap. It helps to see the consistency and things.

  • where did u get the Shea butter?.. I am having hard time finding raw Shea butter.

  • Thanks for sharing! Where do you purchase your Shea Butter and oils? Do you use the mixer in your hair as well? Can you use the butter without the oils? Please inbox me. Thanks again!

  • Question: I have a severe allergy to all types of nuts, so is there a substitute that you can use for the sweet almond oil, or do I just leave it out altogether? Great video, by the way!

  • @jazzykins2010 Shea butter is made from the shea nut, so you may want to consider that before using.

  • Great vid!

How long does this keep fresh for?

  • hey i don't have a hand mixer either.!!! lol

But i didn't melt my shea butter in heat like you did..

If you just let it sit out in room temperature to just become soft your shea butter mixture will come out fluffy it won't harden up like it does.

  • If you need a hand-mixer my friend of mine recommended me to go to ''Goodwill'' . Soak the blades in some bleach and water. Found a nice kitchen aid in the box 4.39 :D.

  • @kiara2gud4ya I was thinking the same thing about going to Goodwill and getting a mixer from there for this purpose.

  • do i need to put the glycerin in ?

  • where can you buy shea butter ?

  • im wondering also after you mix it by hand, can you use a mixer for a little bit to fluff it up more?

  • is the use of vegetable glycerin optional?

  • i tried using a mixer just the other day (it was from another tutorial i saw on shea butter) mine didnt turn out so great. i am gonna have to try mxing it by hand my ownself!

  • What if I don't have vitamin e? help?

  • this is great. i dont have a hand mixer and i was wondering what i was going to do. Thanks! :)

  • your baby is the best:)

  • this is great:)...you could also use a wooden spoon to stir like it was cake batter, that way more lumps would go...

  • Brilliant, thanks for posting this, I don't have a mixer either and was wondering if it would work without.

  • im definatley going to try this.. because it might make my transition better!

  • thank uuuu sooooo much i dont have a mixer but a blender i rather do it by hand anyway thanks

  • Great tutorial! And I don't have a hand mixer either. Watching over Shea Butter Mix videos they would always put castor oil in their mix. I don't have that on hand right now, but I DO have glycerin which is the same consistency. Thanks for this!

  • can i have ur hair!!! wow! so long okay thxz

  • were can i get the oils you use for this

  • I did Shea Butter with olive oil and it made my skin so dry I followed your instructions and made my own Shea Butter, thanks so much as \I thought you had to have a hand mixer.. I used it on my skin and felt the difference

  • Thanks this is great! I will def. try it.!

  • made this today... AWESOME! (I added mango butter, coconut butter, and vitamin E) it smells really good!

  • i agree adding more oils to it makes the mixture softer and easier to hand mix. Also, i used the microwave to melt the shea butter. The defrost setting works very well so that the butter barely melts.. it just softens it up, take it out, mix it with spoon and add other ingredients.

i really appreciate that you have made this video.. when i received my shea butter in it's raw state, i thought "what am i going to do with all of this?" thank you so very much!

  • Can you tell me where do you buy your pure shea butter? I wanna try this but I dont know where to buy it. thanks

  • @caliprincess510 butters n bars.com

  • shea butter and black soap are essentially the same. The main difference is the black soap is shea thats been created by laying the stalks over hot coals and all the nutrients from the tree bark itself are included in the butter as well. I make a really cool black soap using the traditonal african black soap. I loved my whipped shea as well, but I dont use a hand mixer I whip it in the blender to get it etrxa fluffy and incorporate more air into the whipped butter along with my oils.

  • your results are amazing..

i can't wait for my order of shea butter and black soap!

  • @summerjewel63 Thank You.I still have two blocks of black soap left from that order from butters n bars

  • Hi Neicy..I live in the Bahamas..where do I get unrefined shea butter in the US...

  • @deenaturalbrownin

West African Shea Butter, great value at sheabutterhut .

  • I just started using African Black soap and also my own whipped shea butter mix today. I hope to get the same results as you in regards to the black soap.

  • @kahluaqdee You should I think black soap and shea butter can work for everyone. That is all I use on my hair and body as well as my kids hair and body.

  • looks pretty creamy!

  • wow very nice...this is the very first video without a mixer....i never thought it will come out that nice without a mixer...i don't have one so i'm gonna try to do it with a spoon or fork....i also like the fact that your daughter's voice was in the background...

  • @ciara844 Yea it came out really soft just make sure you don't melt it fully or it will harden. I think a fork works better to stir it up and get the lumps out. I am hopeing to get a hand mixer soon. How have you been?

  • @NeicyGoingNatural alright...thanks for the tip....i'm doing good actually been very busy...i see you little one is turning one soon...wow time does fly...

  • @ciara844 Yup she will be one next month time did fly seems like just the other day I was in the hospital giveing birth. I am so happy I made those update vids while I was pregnant and after I had her I was just looking back on them the other day smileing. How old is your daughter now?

  • @NeicyGoingNatural oh she'll be 10 months on the 28th of this month....she already started walking...and she likes to dance alot lol...i'm gonna update you guys very soon so you can see her.

  • i found that adding more oils will make teh shae butter softer! and easer to whip with a spoon/fork

  • @saedwards20 Thanks for letting me know that. Maybe I will try adding a little more oil next time but not too much b/c I don't want it to be oily.
