@Sad0felix The pulsing is caused by the method used to control the APU speed. The fuel is sent to the APU until it reaches a certain speed, then the fuel flow is cut off until a lower speed is reached, then repeats. The exhaust burns sometimes because it is a mixture of hydrogen, ammonia and nitrogen. No its not hydrazine burning off.

Does anyone know if those flares burning on the front right side of the tail fin are just remaining hydrazine being purposely wasted or else?
