  • #LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-WHAT-THE-FUCK#

  • I remember this show was on Sunday nights.

  • Boy did this show suck!

  • This is a very 'special' theme tune/intro ;)

  • wtf is up with the shitty intro? lololo

  • i hate to say this but she has gained so much weight, and her husband is the founder of the Rader Institute for eating disorders.

  • Archie Bunker, after all, DID change over the years: he became less racist, more friendly and a loving grandfather while the meathead became worse. Why was the meathead living in Archie's house in the first place? He could have taken a job and done evening classes. Instead of that he lived of his wife and her parents. Didn't Mike study sociology? That's not even a real science. For Mike it was his own little political hobby. Mike Stivic represents everything I detest in the baby boom generation.

  • The only good spin-off from "all in the family" was "the jeffersons" and "maude"

The rest are trash and this one takes the cake!

  • @HepburnFlicks dont forget archie bunkers place..... its technically a spinoff....

  • @CaseyAshlock0814 Here's an idea, how about NOT WATCHING THE CLIP, YOU PSYCHOTIC IDIOT!!

That way we don't have to read your kindergarten grade level immaturity.

Oh, and another thing, wishing death for something that happened 30 years ago is LAME!!

  • I hated this show and I don't like the fact that they made it that Mike and Gloria divorced.. They seemed too perfect for each other!

  • you don't divorce the meathead and expect your solo spinoff career to last.

  • this song has such a sadness to it

  • wooooow....no wonder this was only around for one season...thank God

  • She was still pretty hot back then. Always had amazing hooterage.

  • @wrlord Yes, remember that one episode in "All In The Family" when there was no air conditioning in Archie's house and Gloria wore a dark brown bikini?

  • @wrlord Yes, remember that one episode in "All In The Family" when there was no air conditioning in Archie's house and Gloria wore a dark brown bikini? I bet she was at least a "D Cup."

  • It would be wonderful if Sony Home Entertainment would have "Gloria: The Complete Series" coming to DVD soon?

  • First time im hearing about this sitcom, what a horrible show! Sally had so much potential, but she aged really bad.

  • where the hell is meathead???

  • She was hot... Now she's fat and ugly :(

  • @eazyegee You're so right about that, particularly since Sally's thighs & think tank butt resembled the back 1/2 of a 1956 Cadillac, I not only thought those cars were big & blobby, they all looked big enough for each & every 1 of their very own landline telephone area codes. As a kid, I'd always "Oinked-oinked!" @ each & every 1 of those cars, I thought they were just horrible. Each & every time 1 of them passed by me, I'd always gone, "Oink-oink, oink-oink, oink-oink, oink-oink!"

  • I hate all of the All in the Family spin-offs, well except for the Jeffersons.

  • This was a miserable, depressing, lump of shit of a shitty disaster piece of garbage turd of a tv show.

  • (* groan *)

  • i bet if mike was in this show. I think it would last longer and quite even funnier.

  • Think it was Sally Struthers that got me liking full figured or big women back in the 80's.Course now one out of every three women are plus sized. They should have had Meathead coming back to ask Gloria to forgive him and be part of the show

  • I remember watching the first episode when it aired and that was the end. It was awful.

  • AT THE END OF THE DAY ARCHIE BUNKER WAS RIGHT BECAUSE HE ALWAYS KNEW MIKE WAS NO GOOD FROM THE BEGINNING AND LOOK IN THE STORYLINE HE ABANDONED HIS WIFE AND SON

  • All title sequences should be like this.

  • when the heck did Gloria has her own show O_o??

    and where's Mike

  • @hunnykun101 They decided to give Gloria her own spinoff in the early 80's. It didn't last long, it only had 5 episodes I believe and Mike and Gloria divorced... Which is why Mike wasn't in this show...

  • @ATLien333 Ahh i see *nod*

    thank you very mush

  • yeah, especially considering the fact that he slowly became a yuppie toward the end of All in the Family.

  • This is the most god awful piece of crap ever placed on the air. I'm guessing Mike Post didn't write this kick ass theme song. La la la la. Wow that took hours to write. Ya know what Joey? Theres the unemployment line.

  • @kevink85255 The worst AITF spinoff was the 1981 series called CHECKING IN ... It lasted 4... not seasons but FOUR EPISODES...

  • @kevink85255

    Unemployment line crack: LMAO!!

  • This show was screwed twice...first, CBS rejected the original pilot written by original AITF writers (a pilot in which Carroll O'Connor appeared) and had the WKRP/Growing Pains writers retool what wasn't broken. Then, even though the lesser quality retooling still was in tyhe Top 20 in the ratings in '82-'83, CBS pulled the plug after one season anyways.

  • Which sucks more this? or Joey? Does anybody remember that piece of crap?

  • @tedm1975 Joey? That was a spin off?

  • @gtz1975 Yeah, it was a spinoff of Friends. But I think Checking In was a spinoff of The Jeffersons.

  • @tedm1975 Checking In was a spinoff of The Jeffersons which was a spin off from All in the Family. I didn't know Friends had a spinoff.

  • Gloria one of worst ideas ever made n CBS pulled it after 3 shows....bye bye

  • @Lehnerd57 It actually lasted one season (1982-83), but it shouldn't have been a series though.

  • @DENo1MatchGameFan The worst AITF spinoff was the 1981 CHECKING IN it lasted 4 not seasons but FOUR EPISODES...

  • @gtz1975 I agree with you on that one - the lady who played Carmen (Florence's replacement on "The Jeffersons") was better as Teresa the Ewing maid on "Dallas." Florence didn't have anyone to bounce off on in "Checking In" like she did with Sherman Hemsley on "The Jeffersons", as Larry Linville was no Sherman!

  • sally struthers looks terrible with curly hair her long beautiful straight hair is her trademark

  • This is one of the worst theme songs I've ever heard.

  • I never knew they made a show for Gloria...is the boy her son Joey and did she divorce Mike?

  • No, apparently Mike left her & Joey to join a commune.

  • Mike left her for a flower child and joined a commune

  • Wow. This is worst than that Seinfeld spin off "Kramer Moves to Harlem".

  • Boy, they just loved to make annoying music back in the day, didn't they? Wasn't the All In The Family theme bad enough?

  • they should never have given Sally Struthers her own show.

  • Dang, I remember this show and it seems so ancient and long time ago. Sally Struthers is one gal I do admire and best to her.

  • I heard about this All in the Family spinoff at the now defunct Jump-the-Shark website. Apparently, the Meathead divorced Gloria to live in a hippie commune and she became a single mother. Word has it the show was pretty lame and lasted only a season or so. Thanks for posting this crap-tastic gem!

  • Yo Mick!

  • It was a spin off of sorts. Mike and Gloria ended up getting divorced and Gloria was on her own. I think the show might have made it had they had her still living in Ny city and some of the characters or old neighbors from the All in the family on the show regularly.

  • i did not know that struthers even had her own show!!

  • This was right before she totally porked out!

  • good girl gloria

  • it was ok,but was missing something

  • yeah, Carroll O'Conor, Maureen Stapleton, and Rob Reiner!

  • You mean JEAN Stapleton

  • i remember this show, i liked the charactor of gloria, i dont think it was one of the best show son tv, but it was a good little sitcom

  • It was a '70s version of "The New Adventures of Old Christine".

  • 80's version? and it was nothing like it.

  • The only similarity that I can think of is that both shows feature single mothers raising sons of about the same age. I suppose that it could be argued that although the show came out in the early 80s that it is stylistically like a show from the 70s, but that is a bit of a stretch. The dissimilarities are more striking: No ex hanging around, no live-in brother, etc. It's possible that there were other characters that were like them, but I don't remember much about this short-lived show.

  • It really wasn't a bad show at all. But it came on at a time when "Archie Bunkers Place" was on it's last legs and they were trying to squeeze another franchise out of it and it wasn't passing with viewers!

  • Well that stunk

    I remember watching this once.

    ONCE.

  • I think people missed "the meathead", and weren't buying that he would just pick up and leave his family to live on a commune with a hippie in California.

  • totally. this mightve stuck around if Mike had.

  • Yeah, it was obviously a plot device to explain why Reiner left.

  • Thanks for posting this, For the longest time I'd thought I'd imagined it all

  • This actually wasn't a bad show. And it had Burgess Meredith in it: can't be bad. It did decently in the ratings for the one season it aired. Here's a couple of shows that did worse in the ratings their first seasons: M*A*S*H and Cheers. (Cheers ranked 74/74 in the ratings its first season).

Now, of course this show didn't compare to the other two. But my point is, it wasn't that bad.

  • WELL, All in the Family didn't do well when it first came out, it wasn't until the Summer Reruns when America Discovered Archie. AND Gloria was doomed from the get go, actually Carol O'Connor wanted Sally to use all his production team of writers and whatnots, but Sally baulked and brought in her own, and needless to say, it failed.

  • @UFOSPACE1999 It was the team that later made "Growing Pains" - good for that show, but not for "Gloria!"

  • @jeffw1267

    SUCK MY DICK.

  • It was a cute show. Burgess Meredith was a veterinarian, and Gloria was his assistant. Just not good enough to last more than a season. Wow, this is the first time I've heard that "La, la, la..." theme song since the show was first on!

  • My word this looks awful.
