One wonders why throughout the four Gospels, Jesus never speaks about his death serving as a sacrifice to atone for the sins of the world. Is the idea that an innocent person can be killed instead of those who are guilty consistent with what the Bible teaches?
After the sin of the Golden Calf, God expressed His intention to destroy the Jewish people. Moses intercedes, and offers to die in their place.
In Leviticus 5:11-13, it states, "If, however, he cannot afford two doves or two young pigeons, he is to bring as an offering for his sin a tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering."
One can also see that one does NOT need a blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins in the book of Jonah 3:10. There, the Bible simply states that God saw the works of the people of Ninevah. Specifically it says that the works God saw were that they stopped doing evil, and so God forgave them.
If one believe that a blood sacrifice was necessary before God would forgive you, then even one example where God forgave without a blood sacrifice would prove that this idea is un-Biblical.
There are many such examples, but the most interesting is found in the Book of Leviticus. The reason this is so interesting is that it comes right in the middle of the discussion of sin sacrifices, which is found in the first chapters of this book.
Where did God insist upon a human sacrifice for the atonement of sins? Animals, yes; but humans? NEVER! Where did God proclaim he will sacrifice an innocent man to redeem sinners? On the contrary,

God IS all forgiving and a repentant heart is the sacrifice to make, through Jesus Christ. If the Trinity is a theological fact and represents the truth from God, surely Jesus would have introduced it to his audience. He had ample opportunity. It emphasizes faith to show how people of the time are doing it wrong, all the glory should go to God. All people will "cast their crowns before the throne" Rev 4:10 in the end, but we should do works to glorify His name.

The Christian claim that our sins can only be forgiven if blood is shed on our behalf also seems to limit the power of God.
It's ludicrous to say that God`s ability to forgive us is dependent on anything. One of the most basic teachings in the Bible is that since God is merciful, He often forgives us simply because He is Merciful.

One wonders why throughout the four Gospels, Jesus never speaks about his death serving as a sacrifice to atone for the sins of the world. Is the idea that an innocent person can be killed instead of those who are guilty consistent with what the Bible teaches?
After the sin of the Golden Calf, God expressed His intention to destroy the Jewish people. Moses intercedes, and offers to die in their place.

In Leviticus 5:11-13, it states, "If, however, he cannot afford two doves or two young pigeons, he is to bring as an offering for his sin a tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering."
One can also see that one does NOT need a blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins in the book of Jonah 3:10. There, the Bible simply states that God saw the works of the people of Ninevah. Specifically it says that the works God saw were that they stopped doing evil, and so God forgave them.

If one believe that a blood sacrifice was necessary before God would forgive you, then even one example where God forgave without a blood sacrifice would prove that this idea is un-Biblical.
There are many such examples, but the most interesting is found in the Book of Leviticus. The reason this is so interesting is that it comes right in the middle of the discussion of sin sacrifices, which is found in the first chapters of this book.

Original sin is not an Orthodox Christian view. We are not responsible for Adam and Eves sin (which was ultimately doing something against God); however we are prone to it because of the fall. The salvation of Christianity is in Jesus' resurrection, not his death. We are made in God's image, our fallen nature is what separates us from God ( that's what sin is. Something against God) and since Jesus is man and God, he is sinless (God cant be less than God) he and only he can mediate us to God .

If the Trinity is a theological fact and represents the truth from God, surely Jesus would have introduced it to his audience. He had ample opportunity. He would have said something like “Hear O Israel! The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God, but they are not three Gods but one God”. Did he? NO!
Instead he reasserted the absolute and indivisible unity of God who is One and Only (Mark 12:29 c.f. Deut 6:4). What does that tell you?
