He's my absolute favourite comedian. All these modern day ones might be funny for 5 minutes but this guy has you in stitches for years. His observational humour, often drawn from his personal experiences, his downright humanity, his eccentricities, the fact that we can actually relate to what he's telling us, his empathy, and the fact he's actually a phenominally talented actor make him a national treasure.

Billy Connoly is a proper stand up comedien. He has some material in his head and he runs with it. The new generation of stand up comediens simply rhyme off a carefully rehearsed routine at every gig. Same old stories and gags every time.
