"Pictures" is done so well by The Cure here, that you can tell you're seeing am excellent production...they make it look so easy. This video is certainly one of the truly great videos of all time.
the fuckin video is the best.....the drummer just crankin the rhythm and the 2 guitars dancin around it.....the little nuances in pickin are fuckin superb......this is just pure puro.......

I remember my lil brother who past away august 1990. I love to listen to this song and all of my memories of my brother comes back to me and I miss him. I am his older sister, who protected her lil brother from mean, unkind remarks. RIP George Romero
This is a great performance. I've been listening to it for months and I may even prefer it to the album version. I love the little smile Robert has on his face when the music changes right around 1:27.
I have been looking so long to find the actual version that i have been listening to. The sound of the bass guitar is one of my favorite. Good job boys
This is the best version of Pictures of You that I have ever heard. I like it so much I've been listening to it everyday for months on end now.
The crowd in this concert is also very lively and attentive. I haven't found another live performance where the crowd cheers when the lights darken when Robert sings "You were always so lost in the dark" or when Robert whispers "My pictures of you."
The way this song reminds me of my gf is incredible we both had our first dance to this song lol we are both 20 and never danced before this song came along it's truly a magical song and really has more emotion than anything I've heard in a long time love it :)
@Aftershock2k10, there alot of bands that can't perform live honestly i've only seen a few pull it off and singer wise, yes alot of lead singers can't have a voice better than studio i can only think of a few, Robert Smith, Trent Reznor - N.I.N., Maynard James Keenan - Tool, Matthew Bellamy - Muse, Thom Yorke - Radiohead, just a few that can put up live performances so far above and beyond studio sound...........favorite song from these guys
I have to admit I was never a big cure fan, I'm a tried and true metalhead but my late fiance was a bigCure fan and after her passing this song always makes me think of her. I miss you Tasha. R.I.P. my Angel I'm so glad I have the pictures........
i'm an avid fan of British rock bands...(Queen, Led Zep, Smiths, Radiohead, Oasis...etc.) but none of them had brought tears in my eyes...only THE CURE...
Reminds me of that person you loved a long time ago...that moment where you got to share something that part of yourself that no one else ever got to see & you were never ever able to share that part of yourself with anyone ever again...then you go through life still doing important things, good things & people still love you & care about you...but they don't know you...not like THIS.
@KurtRussell1963 Music and love have in common that they are magical in the moment they are created. I recently attended the funeral of the mother of my first love from almost 30 years ago. We are both married, happily I might add, but we agreed that the butterflies were still there after all that time in texts a day later. You can't go back certainly, but a song can take you there just like it was yesterday.
i used to listened reggeaton, rap and stuff like that.I thought this was a piece of crap(i didnt liked rock at all).but when my dad and a friend make me listen to this song i was like "god shot me" but in the end i started to love this song and i said "this is what they call real music?" i now im listening to the cure,Depeche Mode, phil collins, red hot chilli peppers, A-ha and some others artists. And i am only 16 and i have no shame at all.
@christianb44 That's great. But don't stop going back in music time. Check out the 70's music also. You really need to listen to Led Zeppelin. Try the song " Ten Years Gone " it will change you. Also check out the movie " Almost Famous " Watch it with your dad. Cheers !
@christianb44 Happy for you. There are musicians that you should definitely dive deeply into that influenced modern music as we know it: Velvet Underground, Joy Division (now New Order), Pixies, etc, etc.
a TRUE ALL-TIME-FAVORITE !!!! Robert`s a GENIUS ...and HIGH on my list off musical `gods`..together with Richard Ashcroft , Paul Weller , Steve Marriott (R.I.P!) , Phil Lynott ( another R.I.P!!) etc.... people that have ENRICHED my life !! H A I L !!

And there are songs that you listen to thousands of times and each time you listen to, you feel something that you have never felt before. Irrespective of the nature of person you are, for a moment it makes you feel to pause and reflect on the golden days of your childhood and your childhood loves. This song is and always will be at the top of the list of those songs!
this is my favourite song ever. Thank you for your spiritual words. i have listened this song thousands of time and every time gives me a great feeling. The way the guitar is playing...playing with my heart. Pictures of my heart and memory.

@thebark4 This Concert was 1989 at The Palace in Auburn Hills Michigan, just North of Detroit. It was recorded for CD, recorded live for video (dvd now..lol).
