Victoria wants Bella to die a painful death, like her mate , James. She didnt want to go and attack her because two wolves were there. Victoria has a "Gift" that makes her know when to get away from a situation. so Victoria must have been almost positive Bella would die, like her James.

in the mercadies you think it must be Carlisle, Esme, or maybe Alice or a trick. I know who it is but i wont tell who. but when i read it i thought it was Victorisa waiting to kill Bella. But it's not. =-8

The 1st time I read New Moon I thought it would be Carlisle and Esme. Because it was Carlisle's car and he couldn't stay away from Esme that long, I thought Alice told them about her vision and Esme, of coarse, wanted to be there, and with a weight on her shoulders she would want Charlie happy, But when I heard her hair was spiky and black, I knew it was Alice.

She really hates Bella, for killing James, so it must have taken a lot of control not to kill her then, in the water.

Victoria must have scented a werewolf, Jacob, and not go near, too disgusted of them with hatred.

1. She probaly had a few reasons she did not attack Bella. One of them could of been because Sam and Jacob were there. Also she could have thought that under the cucumstances, she still could have had diffrent ways of killing Bella and telling Edward. Also, one of her plans could have been to kidnap Bella on land and torture her to death and then tell the Cullens. Or one of the least possiblities was that Victoria was not there.

2. I thought Victoria would've been there.

i totally agree with u. i've noticed dat a handful of the twilight fans switched to team jacob since taylor lautner bulked up and dat bothered mii a lot. i dnt think it's fair for ppl to switch team based on looks. i read the books first b4 watching the first movie and i ended up on team edward after book 4 and i've stayed loyal to team edward. i find myself luving rpattz more than taylor. taylor is cute year but i like rpattz more.

1. Victoria didn't attack Bella in the water because of all the wolves. If there had only been one wolf she might have made an attempt but since there were quite a few there she didn't risk it.

2. The first time i read the book I thought it would be either Victoria or Carlisle. The second time I read through New Moon I knew who it was and it made sense that Alice would be there but I still got the feeling that Victoria was going to be there. The book is very well written and am always surprised
