  • he failed badly doing the alzapua at 2:18

  • @antonioXbrandao

its one of your hobbys searchin mistakes of great guitarrists playing?

  • He reminds me of young Paco de Lucia

  • Me thinks the guitar was invented for this guy to play..

  • HOW. MANY. How many hours of practice???

  • She coughed during that amazing picado!?!?!?!

  • your Fandango. is the highest, and bravo!!

  • Simplemente.......un superdotado de la guitarra

  • His technique is just crazy awesome. Nice to have long fingers too.

  • awesome dude...........

  • Screech is AWESOME !!!!

  • Great stuff but it don't feel Spanish. There is no Duende, just Great technical ability. Just a comment for debate fella's not abuse.

  • the only reason you think that way is because you're racist

  • This is Paco's Fandango De Huelva and if you listen to the original, you'll see it's played exactly as Paco played it.

  • grisha goryachev you have done it again looool love you as always lol

    peace & happiness

  • ole!

  • BRAVO! This is a flawless-fandango...move over Maestro de Lucia.

  • This remark does not make sense. It's after all Paco's fandango. Paco's version by the way is flawless, too. It is a bit slower but more elegant and expressive, because of his inimitable touch and perfect control of tone. Goryachev's technique is impressive, but before he can match or even replace Paco de Lucia (or Sabicas for that matter) he has a long way to go.

  • I completely agree...paco is the greatest out there but might I ask one question..where could i find an excelellent recording of paco playing his fandango?

  • Paco's version in the form Goryachev is playing here, is the live version in Madrid, 1975:"paco de lucia en vivo desde el teatro real" P 1975 Polygram Iberia, SA; issued as an AAD CD by PHILIPS 9838 381-2 printed in West Germany. The recording quality is quite bad, but the music is great. I hope this info will help you.

  • لا يكثر ..... he is best of the best

  • wow incredible Years of Practice

  • @@..WTF..man you are so freakin good..

  • este tio es un maquina ahora tendra unos 30 años

  • Where do you come from? Amazing video.

  • he's from St.-Petersburg, Russia

    Boston now

  • Very fast...i think its a bit fakey fakey?

LOOK AT THE PICKING HAND -> 1:02- 1:03

  • I hope you aren't suggesting this was FAKE. Dude this guy is pretty incredible & you can hear EVERY nuance of his playing, listen to him slap the guitar when he's really gettin on it. Esteban look out cause this dude KILLS it. Great right hand stuff goin on through the whole piece. WOW!!!

  • fake? are you serious? you obviously don't know anything about flamenco

  • you're right...i don't know anything about flamenco, but this move of his hand looked just so impossible...don't get me wrong

  • Thats not fake. He´s really playing and he´s one of the best.

  • i think that maybe a compliment right there haha

  • yeah i men chill out guys, not everyone in the world knows Flamenco music and this is enough to amaze anyone!

  • oleeyy este talento

  • lol hes like a grandmaster

  • its very nice fandango oleeeeeeeee ...

  • que lindo!mucica espana mucha cariente mi corazon, entiende? mi espanol?

  • Grisha I think ur da gr8est guitarist ever!

  • me encanta esta cancion

  • I just want a recording of your work....where can I buy a cd? =)

  • can you give me tabs...?:)

  • Man, this young buck is talented. Now if he can

add some fire to that amazing speed and technique coupled with his excellent phrasing skills he'll be pure bliss.

  • Waht u are asking for is that special spanish feel. That can only be aquired with maturity and by living in spain for a longer duration!

  • im sure it could be learned on any continent... And the feel could be spanish or something else, he needs to - i cant belive im typing this - put a bit more heart into the music, and forget the physics of it all for a bit ;D

  • So true. As impressive as it was from a technical perspective, it just seemed a little too clinical for the soul. I've heard far less complicated pieces played, so exquisitely, that that quite simply take me to a different place.

  • Thanks you - very pleasant and entertaining. Reminds me of a young Paco Pena.

  • wow, id like some guitar tabs

  • I've been trying to learn the flamenco finger picking. Is there a quick way to practice this? Also, is there a good way to practice it without a guitar?

  • well simply put... the best way to practice it is just do it over and over slow then fast.. idk of any way to do without guitar

  • holy crap thats is going to my favorite, very good playing.

  • this is freakin amazing!

  • is this actually a song, whats it called?

  • Fandangos-En vivo desde el teatro real

    Paco de lucia

  • u are amazing woow super i need u to be my teacher

  • every couple months I have to watch some of yoru videos :) I would be curious to hear you play some Vicente or Gerardo....great inspiration

  • beutfull man!

  • I saw this guy performing live a couple of weeks ago. He totally melted my face off! I'd kill to be able to play guitar that well.

  • *jaw on floor*

  • his musicianship is amazing. Watch the cadenza at 3:22. His left hand moves so quickly and precisely that it looks like a machine while his right hand is so focused in its movements that you can barely tell its moving at all

  • omg! just beutifull work.

    he moves so fast

  • nice fandango

  • nice fandango

  • Excelent!

  • Wonderful, keep up the good work !!!!! This music blows my mind. I could listen to this style of playing all day !!!! I must have Spanish blood in me somewhere !!!

    breamlute1016

  • It's just simply great music, the most romantic style of music. Love vibrates within the sounds of Flamenco.

  • A very nice piece of work - well done mate.

  • Brilliant Grisha , Bravo ! :)

  • Marvellous present of art!

    God of the Guitar!

We bow to your gift, the talent and love you put into music!

We hope to share a long life listening to you!

Thank You! Live and play forever, Grisha!

  • kerrywsmyth--------- you lost the concept in here. listen to the articulation of this guy. Ignore the rest. It's called ear training, block what ever is not in the music sheet.

  • *cough* *cough* *cough* *cough*

If I were in that room, and ESPECIALLY if I were recording this video, I would have punched in the face whoever that sick bastard was that kept insisting on coughing *cough* *cough* *cough* *cough*

  • if he expresses that in his face!eyes on the floor

  • He's better technically than a young Sabicas, Sanlucar, and possibly even Paco...but the question I have, is will Grisha be able to create...it may be a bit harder from him since he has not grown up with the cante. It will be ineresting to see what happens and what style he will eventually develop...Anyway, how cool is it to be able to play ANYthing you want?!

  • I've read some comments saying this guy lacks emotion or his music is "cold". Surely it is impossible to achieve this level of mastery if one does not have a great deal of passion for the art. Please show this guy the respect he deserves.

  • I concur, he wouldn't be this good if he didn't love what he was doing. His emotion is displayed through his PLAYING, not his facial expressions. Not every guitarist has to be as animated as Julian Bream.

  • magical

  • Este tio tiene "duende"

  • vaya que si, quien es ?

  • I am not sure why this comment has received thumbs down!!! can someone explain please? Grisha is a young fantastic player but I don't see the comment above being harmful at all to him.

    Thanks

  • I guess perhaps he was a little harsh on Grisha to imply that he will never be as good as the Spanish pioneers! At least that is what I thought he said.

  • An interesting debate held below and thankfully held in good tone and has not become abusive.I happen to agree with Mencado myself and also must be deeply insecure because i have criticised G,though only constructively and indeed think he is phenomenal technically but lacks many other quality's which he can learn,to a degree and some are endowed naturally. But all in all i think we all agree he is pretty amazing and still has a good way to go with a wonderful future.

  • przepieknie! dawaj Grisza!

  • Yes but who is this man?

    Any cd's out?

  • This is Grigory Goryachev, a man from St. Petersburg Russia. He started musuc at the age of 8 coached by his father Demitri Goryachev, a composer. Grisha is his nick name, he is currently studying music in Boston, MA. USA

  • Thanks - he really seems to understand the music he's playing on a deep emotional level.

I'm on the look out for any CD's he's recorded.

  • Was in Sevilla last week in a guitar shop. Nearly bought a very fine instrument indeed. Couldn't in the end. Would have died a very sad man 'cos I'd never play as well as this man if he had a serious hangocver and if he had his left hand was in a sling. Will just listen to, and watch, him and be consoled I maybe could have done once. The man's a star.

  • WOW, I LOVE IT !!!

  • I always thought that the use of 'Da Capo' was for guitarists who were too lazy to learn the chords in another key but I'm sure I was wrong now, if someone like this employs it...

  • Ath Nasha Yathe idaeck ghithara kabira randa. Aramaic for- this man knows how to play the guitar real well.

  • vaya pedazo de guitarrista madreee mia como toca¡¡¡

  • do you have the tabs of this song?????????????

  • no noo no tabs

  • No emotions? I would say exatly the opposite. He seems to be in a deep trance just enjoying, so relaxed!!!

    He is a monster!!!

  • f... yeah :D u are totally right! He is in completely in trance of emotion. nvm many have just no clue about what they talk...

  • Jeoulosy aside, this guy has it all, I can't wait to see him coming up with his own material in the near future, he is very capable.

  • Mr. Userx100, How about you pay something here so we enjoy your expression of emotion? or is it that you can only make comments, annd can't play the guitar yourself?

  • Great player indeed but here is the problem. No depth, no emotional quality, no Duende for sure. Just notes, notes, notes,. Great technique but no soul. Listen to the Paco's and other great players they have it. But a great talent nevertheless.

  • I agree.. Out of all of the different players ive watched so far.. His music seems cold... No emotion..Great Talent for sure..Wish i had the same level of talent.

  • No emotion you say! You are talking bull***t mate. You can tell paco de lucia himself that he has no talent, who acknowledged he is a phenomenal talent!

  • No emotion you say! You ALSO like userx100 are talking bull***t mate. You can tell paco de lucia himself that he has no talent, who acknowledged he is a phenomenal talent!

  • I also agree on the lack of emotion. I think that if you try some of these other YouTube videos, you might hear Grisha a little differently. Let's see what you say after hearing these:

    Melchor de Marchena

    Moraito por seguiriyas

    Joselero con Diego de Morón

Paco Cepero - Bulerias (Flamenco Guitar)

    Juan Habichuela- Granaina (Flamenco Guitar)

    Enjoy!

  • I've seen Paco Cepero, J Habichuela, and Moraito play live. Wonderful players,as are the others - all have duende. Ok, this guy is not a gitano, but all this stuff about having to be gitano is utter bollocks - as Tomatito himself said! Define emotion. It was P de Lucia who aided his entrance into the USA to study by the way.

  • 1- Okay, I am so jealous. 2- I think that's a fair enough statement. Case in point - Paco Cepero is not a Gypsy. Neither is Niño de Pura, nor were Luis Maravilla, Paco de Antequera or Manolo de Badajoz - all of whom certainly are/were excellent guitarrists. Incidentally, some Gypsy singers obviously agreed or they wouldn't have sometimes used payo guitarrists when they performed.

  • P.S.- Sorry, I can't define emotion, but I know it when I feel it. All I can say about that is, the more the singer/ musician feels it, the more I do.

  • Ok,this is not a gypsy debate. But how you can say he plays with no emotion is absurd, but that's your perogative I suppose.Whenever exceptional talent emerges there are always those waiting to pick flaws, who are basically insecure people. As I said before(which you ignored), P de lucia thought highly enough to help him get his visa to go to USA.Enough said.

  • Are you saying that, because I have a particularly discriminating sense of hearing I am insecure? Or is that the general rule for anyone who disagrees with you? As for the visa bit, I ignored it because it was beside the point. We are talking about a specific video here. Perhaps Grisha has played like a master - complete with perfect technical skill and outstanding emotional investment - every other time that he has played, perhaps not. In any case, that does not mean that he has done so here.

  • Melchor de Marchena- Not that great

Moraito por seguiriyas- Not that great

Joselero con Diego de Morón- OK

Paco Cepero - Bulerias (Flamenco Guitar)- Fantastic

Juan Habichuela- Granaina (Flamenco Guitar)- Fantastic

I still think when it comes to Flamenco, Grisha has the most lethal right hand save Paco De Lucia. For classical guitar, it is Segovia, Romero, Williams, and Yepes.

  • look chicuelo and miguel poveda ;)

  • I just went to see his concert at the Historical Hoover Theater in San Jose! He's like Paco De Lucia the legend himself! Amazing technique!

  • That guy is brilliant and anyone who has anything bad to say about him is obviously jealous. He is soooooooo good.

  • Y era un directo!!! Este tio es una maquina. Yo no estoy tan seguro que le falte sentimiento. Ahora solo le falta empezar a componer sus piezas.

  • Oh lala !!

  • What a talent... damn, ths is how i want to play someday...pfff

FELICIDADES

  • great player, also very nice guy.

  • Hot stuff!

  • This is the best payo (=non andalucian) I've ever heard.

    Ole por aires choqueros!!

  • Great !!

  • OLE!!! Effortlessly and with duende too!

  • Genius! You should perform in Madrid at Monteleon!

  • SIc technique...

  • bua genial, esa rapidez me vuelve loco...MUY BIEN!!! por cierto alguien sabe de algun video en el que se vea al maestro paco de lucía tocar este tema u otros fandangos de huelva???

  • excellent, maestro

  • Grisha Goryachev, I adore all your work and I get hypnotised by what you play.

  • Wow. Excellent.

  • muy bien!!...very good!
