The biggest issue I found was that Sonic had almost no momentum. No matter how much speed you picked up, if you stopped pressing forwards for a moment he'd just stop straight in his tracks. Just felt wrong.

Glad to see the uncurling fix has been confirmed but I'm going to wait till it's out before passing judgement. My only real issue with the changes (which seem for the better for episode 2) are the low possibility of a lock on feature. I was really really hoping for episode 1, 2 and possibly 3 to lock on similar to Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
I'm confused. Episode 1 got a Wii version, but Episode 2 doesn't? Now, I like the direction the series is heading now, but... shouldn't they have planned this little bit out ahead of time? Pretty bad news considering that people that only have Wiis and are unsure about whether the PC version will work okay on their laptops are already deprived of Sonic Generations. Hopefully they'll consider making a Wii version, even if it's a little different.
@n5d25d90 They had to change their plans. Due to the fan feedback they have decided to change the graphics and physics engine and the Wii just cannot handle it. I don't think it was originally part of their plan. I expect it to be released on Wii U.

You're an idiot. Sonic 4:Ep 2 is not going to be on Wii because the file size will be too big and Nintendo has a very strict file-size limit for WiiWare games. This has been a serious issue with plenty of developers who wanted to bring games to WiiWare. Episode: 1 barely fit the requirement and considering this game will most likely be an overall improvement and have more content, the game wouldn't fit WiiWare's size limit

...the comics are crap. They've never had anywhere near as good of plots as Sonic had in things like Adventure 2, and when they do focus on plot that go WAY overboard with tons of drama and snarkiness.

yeah, they explain crap that DOESN'T NEED TO BE EXPLAINED like how "Mobians" came into existence. They decided to do some stupid ass "mutation" bomb thingy to explain that they're evolved from Earth creatures in the future when the comics were forced to bring humans into it since, at that time, they finally showed humans other than Eggman in the games showing that it actually always did take place on Earth in the normal game storyline without any of that Mobius crap being shoved into the plot.
@edward18517 Cause no wonders cares at all about how an entire species came into existance. The gamea are cheesy, predictable, and vague. The comics are much more thought through, and the fact that there are mobians and humans isn't a bad thing. Sonic actually has romance in the comics (Don't say Elise, because that all went away, plus she looks like a human Sally), aside from Amy chasing him around. The comics get better. The games get two-years-old and younger
No one wonders why there are humanoid animals waltzing around in the Dragon Ball universe either. Same thing. The comics stopped being all that fun when the first Robotnik was beaten in them.
@TakTheFox Sonic 4 isn't that bad. The only bad thing about it is how they put the modern version into the classic era, making bad graphics/backgrounds. But at least they made the last boss for Sonic 2 harder than his Sonic2 version, because he just plain stanked in both Generations and Sonic2.

Better Homing Attack, make him faster, 3d sprites from 3 and Knuckles, Sonic 3 and Knuckles style physics, awesome levels, fun challenges, make Tails fun to play as again, better Metal Sonic Race, bring back the Super Peel Out, and I'm sold :)
Here's what I want. No homing attack, physics to at least the quality of generations, the ability to play as tails, hyper sonic, and have a reasonable price for 4 zones.
Only thing I dont like is that this game is screwing up the timeline for marketing purposes. These guys HAVE NO idea as to what they're doing with this game has far as time placement. First they said Ep1 happened after Sonic and Knuckles, now JUST because Metal Sonic's in Ep.2, Ep.1 happens after Sonic CD. The chronological story order of the old games is actually: Sonic 1, Sonic CD, sonic 2, Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles. It's a shame these guys dont know what they're doing :/

480i/p is standard definition
720p HD(there is no interlaced scan on progressive)
1080i/p HD
The Wii is slightly more powerful than a Gamecube it rarely gets any of the games the PS3 and Xbox360 have.
This is why Sonic Generations created Colors on the Wii because it wouldn't work.
Same reason why Unleashed turned out the way it is on Wii

...the comics are crap. They've never had anywhere near as good of plots as Sonic had in things like Adventure 2, and when they do focus on plot that go WAY overboard with tons of drama and snarkiness.

yeah, they explain crap that DOESN'T NEED TO BE EXPLAINED like how "Mobians" came into existence. They decided to do some stupid ass "mutation" bomb thingy to explain that they're evolved from Earth creatures in the future when the comics were forced to bring humans into it since, at that time, they finally showed humans other than Eggman in the games showing that it actually always did take place on Earth in the normal game storyline without any of that Mobius crap being shoved into the plot.

@edward18517 Cause no wonders cares at all about how an entire species came into existance. The gamea are cheesy, predictable, and vague. The comics are much more thought through, and the fact that there are mobians and humans isn't a bad thing. Sonic actually has romance in the comics (Don't say Elise, because that all went away, plus she looks like a human Sally), aside from Amy chasing him around. The comics get better. The games get two-years-old and younger

No one wonders why there are humanoid animals waltzing around in the Dragon Ball universe either. Same thing. The comics stopped being all that fun when the first Robotnik was beaten in them.

@TakTheFox Sonic 4 isn't that bad. The only bad thing about it is how they put the modern version into the classic era, making bad graphics/backgrounds. But at least they made the last boss for Sonic 2 harder than his Sonic2 version, because he just plain stanked in both Generations and Sonic2.

Episode 4 part 1 was like a remade version of sonic 1 and 2. plus with sonic generations out, we really dont need that much nostalga. the only exception is another race against metal sonic. Just NO DEATH EGG ROBOT! I beat him in sonic 2, sonic 4, and generations.

Better Homing Attack, make him faster, 3d sprites from 3 and Knuckles, Sonic 3 and Knuckles style physics, awesome levels, fun challenges, make Tails fun to play as again, better Metal Sonic Race, bring back the Super Peel Out, and I'm sold :)

Only thing I dont like is that this game is screwing up the timeline for marketing purposes. These guys HAVE NO idea as to what they're doing with this game has far as time placement. First they said Ep1 happened after Sonic and Knuckles, now JUST because Metal Sonic's in Ep.2, Ep.1 happens after Sonic CD. The chronological story order of the old games is actually: Sonic 1, Sonic CD, sonic 2, Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles. It's a shame these guys dont know what they're doing :/

@Vengeancereborn No they said Episode 1 was after Sonic CD in the Sonic CD trailer and an interview saying it was a prequel to Sonic 4 episode 1 , because they were SO confused where Sonic CD's place was in the timeline of the games, which isnt hard to figure out.

The Sonic storyline in the 2D titles are great, because they're so full of imagination and are amazing. All I was saying is that it's a shame that it's being messed up to make a profit.
