we had a volvo s80 from 2003 it was the most luxury one of all but we jsut had it for a half year my dad crashed with it and drived 5 cow's dead!! my dad has nothing and the car was only a little broken for 10000 dollars for repair but we bought it for 8500 dollars so it was total loss

don't know about the new volvos, but the old ones are really nice. Unlike fake audi leather and thin mercedes leather, volvos have really fine, thick leather and are fine cars overall. In Russia they were considered some of the most gangster in the 90s.

Its the best swedish brick ever made. My dad owns a 850, bmw and mercedes, all from 1990s or early 2000. The volvo is the car that still look like it just came from Volvo as brand new. the bwm and merc(im a big fan of both brands) are soon ready to be made into nails. There is no rust on the 850 and everything still works perfect. its a 1996 with the Audi 2.5 tdi

If the new v70 is just half as good, i take it over a BMW 5 series any day!

Yes the car stayed in tact but the sheer force, combined with the weight and build of the car would more than likely killed driver and passenger....That is, if they drove a volvo off a cliff in the first place. I was unfortunately in a 100km/h+ crash in my 98 Volvo S70 this weekend, walked away from the crash, lucky to be alive, I was feet away from going over a cliff, I joked with the para-medics that if I went off the cliff, that I probably would have been fine because I saw a video of a Volvo going right off a cliff and the car took the impact perfectly.

Once honda accord crashed to the back of my 850, i got just a crack on my bumper, the whole front of honda got smashed, airbag in honda didn't even come out!!! that honda was taken away coz it wasn't driveable anymore, i'm still driving mine. planning to get a new one, also 850, coz it's a car which i can call real.

Well, I have to tell you, I own a 1994 Volvo 850 2,5. And that's one of the best cars ever made. Once a little old lady hit my car from behind in the city, my car and I made it. Another time a deer runned into the side of my car (no joke!) and well, we both made it that time to. Well, the deer probobly died, but hey, I'm still here. And it's a cheep car to own. It takes about 0,75 liters in 10 KM. That's very little.

Haha, I have a 850. I'd probably die if I did that, driving off a cliff? Owned the car for 13 years, only needed to replace brake lights and front headlights about every 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 years. And a the battery once and the only major repair I had to do was repair the front and back brake calipers after 435,000 km which cost 800 dollars. Love the car, front door isn't working too fine because some one wanted to hit and run my car.
