R.I.P Laurie McAllister, the bass player who past away August 25 2011. It's sad that she died so young :'( I feel so sorry for her family and friends. But now we know, that there's one more Runaway Angel in heaven. I bet she found Sandy there, still drumming, still keeping the beat. 'Cause I know, that The Runaways always will be there for us, no matter what happen. There's nothing like this band in the world anymore. @MrMewtow2020 the movie fucken sucked. i mean, i love the runaways, but come on, let's be honest here, the movie was just terrible. It wasn't accurate at all, it only focused on joan and cherie and to top it all off, at the end of the movie, they only let the audience know what they and kim fowley are up to. No tribute to Sandy West and no info at all on the rest of the other band members. Although, I must say, the cherry bomb performance was pretty good. Other than that, th emovie sucked.

Sandy is balling on this recording. Jett looks amazing, and her singing is different than what she normally does. Lita is rocking. Without Cherrie, I really think they were a better band, and they could be taken way more serious. Cherrie's voice was great, but looking at the earlier clips, I'm not a fan of her stage presence. If i saw this band live now, I'd go NUTS for them.

Cheri had her own vision of rock n' roll, heavy Bowie influenced, but I don't think she had the artistic drive to see it through to a high level of success. she was the first to quit "the runaways" and not be kicked out. she didn't want it as bad as Lita and JJ.

I was fortunate to be around when the Runaways were hot, KISS was new and Aerosmith could barely stand through their shows...was an awesome time. I remember when MTV lauched and was around when Metal RULED MTV...By the early 90s it all fell apart. But still...I was there. Days when I get a down that I'm almost 48 I think back on the times I've lived through...I won't change a thing!
