  • sissors are actually better for cutting, fold the shirt in half so you are only cutting the back and your lines are will be easier to keep straight because you are cutting half the length, save you a lot of time

  • Do you have to have a stretchy shirt?

  • if you really want to get straight lines you could trace them onto a dark shirt with a white pencil or a light shirt with a darker pencil and use scissors. that would probably be easier but AWESOME idea!

  • seriously doing this!! XDD causemy cousin asked for a favor and I have like no choice!!! I told her that I have no idea how to do it but then I saw your vid OMG YOU ARE A TOTAL LIFE SAVER!!! ;333 so amazinnngg!!

  • @arianeN85 It's These Words by Natasha Bedingfield.

  • This looks like a fun project. Thanks for sharing.

  • I would love to try this but my mom would murder me for 'ruining' a shirt. I'll find one on sale next time I go shopping and use it.

  • this tutorial was awesome

and if you use fabric scissors they give you the straight edge look you were looking for

  • awesome :) thanks

  • Thanks for the commentaries and credits. Gives me great ideas!

  • next time put a cutting board inside the shirt

  • good job

  • probably just gonna use scissy's

  • Scissors work better............of course.... plus dont go over the neck...check out adam saaks...sure he's a douche bucket, but he has some great ideas....

  • It kind of ugly

    But good job

  • I think a rotary cutter would be a better idea for cutting

  • Any ideas for cutting up a football jersey? I dont know if this would work since a jersey isnt so stretchy...

  • this is very helpful.

but I might use scissors hehe

  • Seriously. This is a great tutorial, but wouldn't it just be easier to use scissors?

  • You can use scissors. From what I hear, they give you an edgier cut. I was looking for something cleaner and used a knife, but I'm sure you could pull it off with scissors.

  • u can use siccors :D i did it

  • @meghanmanson yeah it seems so...

  • as so not to cut through the sother side of the t-shirt are you not better to put the cardboard or magazine or any old hard surface inside the t-shirt? :)

  • oh shoot i put "sother" should be "other" silly me.

  • Well, Step Two does say to place it between the front and back of the shirt. That would make it on the inside, ne? c:

  • oh silly me... so it does ^_^ oops. i wasnt paying enough attention :O forgive me :P

  • It's all good. I was worried for a second there. Leaving that out would be a rather large error.

  • maddie ? I feel like I know you from somewhere. Do you go to hickory? because i used to go ther. my name is andrew harrison, if you did go to hickory i was kinda short. haha

  • Nope. I didn't go to Hickory, and I don't think I know any Andrew Harrisons. =| Hn.

  • 1. Its and "HQ" button on this video

    2. OMG you got to use a box cutter?

    3. for real are you cutting on the linoleum?

  • So, you feel like stalking me online, now?

    1. Wow, you're actually right. [fixed it] The first two words didn't make any sense. =\

    2. A utility knife, but...sure.

    3. No. I'm cutting on a magazine on a towel. What do you think I am, mentally challenged?

  • Nah... Just got bored tonight

    1. HA

    2. Whatever

    3. Ya i saw that after it rolled for awhile...

I still am in awe that you got to touch a "knife" object...

  • No need for parentheses, it /was/ a knife.

What, you think I'm too emo to be trusted with one, or something? u_U

  • Hey my one Video just broke 10,000 views!!!

  • You are not emo AT ALL HAHA

  • No, I'm really not.

Of course, you're the one who won't stop commenting about how sad and depressed I always look. =\

  • That does not mean you are emo dummy....

    I like the first song...

  • No kidding.

    Yeah. Natasha's pretty cool. c:

  • Yup

  • I'll get started on mine right away

  • ;D

Be sure to send me pictures. You could even skip the tank top.

    I'd favourite you. <3

    Heh heh.

  • I have a question! Does the shirt become smaller after doing this?

  • Surprisingly, it really doesn't. When I finished mine and first looked at it, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to fit it, anymore. But I could. ^^

If you're between sizes, I'd go with the higher one just to be safe, but otherwise you should be fine; there isn't a substantial difference.

  • thank you! :)

  • You're very welcome. c=

    ~Maddie

  • Awesome. : o

Now I understand, and I'll probably make one over Spring Break...

Though, about the video, at the beginning, some of the slide/words moved a little too quickly for me to finish reading them, but that may only be me. xP

  • Gracias.

You must. Then we could like, wear them together someday. We'd have another semi-twiin outfit. ^^

Aw. Well, I'm sorry you're a slow reader.

J/k. I guess I kind of based it off the amount of time it took me to read them and then some. I figured people would be pausing it anyway. Or something. Y'know. =/

I'll keep that in mind for next time, though. c:

    If there is one.

  • Schweet.

We could have our own twin week. 8]

'Tis okay. I know I'm a slow reader. (but not really..)

Though I did pause it, so your assumptions were correct? C:

I think I'm going to make a 'How to wash your wig' tutorial. I'm not sure if people will find it helpful though...

  • We definitely could.

Yay. But...you know what happens when you assume. :o

Oh, fine. Copy my ideas /again/. I upload a piano video, you upload a piano video; I upload a tutorial, you upload a tutorial.

You know what? [runs off to upload a con panel]

    J/k. I don't have one. :P

  • Rape happens?

NUH-UH. I was going to upload a 'How to wash your wig' tutorial after I learned how to wash a wig.

And I was actually going to make it today but realized we were going to play tennis.. :P

  • Psh. It's not rape if you want it.

Hence, I'm not a true rapist. [revelation]

    Whatever you say. [shifty eyes]

    Heh. It's all good.
