The only acceptable reason to kill an animal is for food or for protection-- as in, if it's going to hurt you or someone else and there's no other way.

To slaughter an innocent helpless puppy for no reason indicates that these kids were not "normal", as in "will someday become serial killers" and will never "grow out of it'.

I am not in the least bit sorry that they died.

Better yet, if we re-enact the scene properly, there will be a table covering the scene, so I just have to PRETEND to hit a FAKE dog with the vase. That way, it won't look as lame, and there will be less risk of the vase accidentally breaking. That would that ruin the skit and be a safety hazard. This is for a CON, mind you.
