I like that they are trying to add more elements to the game, however they are not doing a good job of making them realistic. If EA is going to release almost exactly the same game every year with a couple of new features, at least take time to make them good. Other things need to be fixed too. Regardless I'm still getting NHL12, I can't wait.

This looks like the hitter just bumped on him and said "hey, now's the time for you to jump over the board" and he was like "oh, yeah right" and jumped. Completed with the lousy (or lack of) reaction from the bench, this just proves my opinion that EA is totally concentrating on wrong stuff and not even getting those right. Make the puck physics better for example, instead of adding useless stuff like goalie vs. goalie fights.

@Homesmoker We'll see about the physics when more gameplay videos pop up, right now it looks pretty much the same as before. EA could make the perfect hockey game in one year if they wanted, but the problem is, there wouldn't be much to improve in the later installments. So they just add a few minor features every year to keep most people happy. That's exactly why they need competition. Just look what happened to the FIFA series when PES wiped the floor with them for many years.

The 2k-series never sold that much comparing to how PES became the 1st choice for realistic soccer fans all over the world, and forced EA to do everything they can to regain the title. Therefore, the FIFA series which used to be laughable arcade football, is now the pinnacle of realism in those games. Same for NHL'd be good.

Bring in a new game mode. World Juniors. And during be a gm and season you can decide to sen your players to the the juniors, and depending how they play they get more xp for their career.
