There hasn't been a song on the radio in 20 years or so that's compared to this. I remember when this came out when I was in high school. Back then, you were guaranteed several great pop/rock songs every year. Good Top 40 songs were the norm. Very few have come out since then. It's really sad what's happened to popular music. A song like this would never make it on the radio today, and I don't even hear it on classic rock stations. Just the same ol' recycled crap.

Great song obviously. For years I never even realized that it was a cover of an old sixties' song. One thing that INXS always had going for it was that their songs were arranged so that the musicians never overplayed. Some bands don't understand this and it always sounds like crap. Musically, you have to leave "holes" in your songs.

The song was originally written in the 60's by George Young, father of Angus Young (ACDC) and was a massive hit for "The Easybeats". It was every bit as good as this version and decades ahead of its time.

I remember when this song first hit the radio. It's still every bit as rockin' as it was then. This may offend some people, but this song is really the last great pop/rock song ever recorded. None of anything from the 90's to today compares with this. Great song, arrangement, musicianship; the band is tight as hell, and both guys can wail.  I think Van Halen should have snagged up Jimmy after Sammy left. I bet they would have kicked ass!

jimmy barnes has a image established and so did michael. jimmy has a unique vocal ability, he's a belter but manages to put an incredible amount of soul and control into it. Michael was singing down in the parts where they sung together to compliment jimmy, I think it seems more fitting that way. It doesn't mean michael is a weak singer, he's capable of putting the same amount of presence in it as jimmy but he seems to have a more graceful nature on stage and I think they are playing off that
