Just following orders is not a defense, and each person has a duty to their country to be able to recognize right from wrong. It's so great to see someone in the military with such a deep sense of honor as to risk so much, just to not be part of the problem.

Ummm... you know a mistrial can be retried... right? It's only subject to double jeopardy laws if the court erroneously declares a mistrial, or if prosecutorial misconduct goaded the defendant into moving for a mistrial, and the defendant's attorney actually did NOT want the mistrial. Soooo... if it DOES go back to trial, it will be b/c of Seitz...

Eric Seitz did an outstanding job! I don't think the government  saw him coming. They wove a web in which they themselves got caught. And it was through clever manipulation on the part of Seitz that we got this wonderful outcome. There is hope now.
