I am saying that Burrows is a guy who is trying to take advantage of refs who never call dives by constantly diving and screaming bloody murder. The ref does make a point on the part where he was on the ice after being checked into the boards, he looked straight up and had the face where he was about go get up. Yet he decided to go back down. Though, the things the ref called penalties on him later on were stupid calls.
I play hockey... but regardless, if you get a blow to the head (Burrows was checked and swung headfirst into the boardS), you get up feeling ok for about 3 seconds, and then the whole vertigo/wooziness/disorientation sets in. Personally, I think his going back down was genuine, but his staying down as long as he did/wanting every buck for that bang was most definitely diving.

Hey fuckudevin443, my whole point is that you dont need to see the replay. Burrows could have very well been 100% right in the game in question. I am saying that Burrows is a guy who is trying to take advantage of refs who never call dives by constantly diving and screaming bloody murder. I am saying that Burrows is an aggressive whiner who is trying to get his own way. The canuckles in general are a whiny team who have this mock indignation whenever they get a marginal call against them.

and why not? if the ref makes a call against you that is marginal, it means it is a BAD CALL. being indignant is only a natural reaction for being unfairly punished, and for something that operates by a rulebook, rules are important

Referees give warnings to players with a history all the time; theres nothing wrong with this and is considered good game management by the ref. But Burrows accusation suggests that Auger had made a premeditated decision that would affect the outcome of the game regardless to how clean and fare Burrows played. This severely compromises the integrity of the game.

Stéphane Auger was the same ref that assessed Shane Doan a 10-minute misconduct for culturally insensitive comments against francophone referees in 2005. An allegation that Colin Campbell concluded was proven to be baseless. In other words, Auger fabricated a penalty to get Doan out of the game.

The ref does make a point on the part where he was on the ice after being checked into the boards, he looked straight up and had the face where he was about go get up. Yet he decided to go back down. Though, the things the ref called penalties on him later on were stupid calls.

I play hockey... but regardless, if you get a blow to the head (Burrows was checked and swung headfirst into the boardS), you get up feeling ok for about 3 seconds, and then the whole vertigo/wooziness/disorientation sets in. Personally, I think his going back down was genuine, but his staying down as long as he did/wanting every buck for that bang was most definitely diving.

Some players are smarter than the ref. See Holmstrom. Thats why Burrows is in the NHL scoring hatty's on a top line and Auger's crowning achievement is being a shitty ref exacting personal agenda's. If he did his job right in the first place he wouldn't have to be harassing players.

The refs are awful in the NHL, they dont know what to call , or when to call penalties. Diving is everywhere, yet it is hardly ever called.
As for Burrows, he is a whiny cheapshot diver who everyone except canukles fans hate.
