Long ago, Nomura announced on KHInsider(.)com that they had planned for Axel and Roxas to be lovers in the script, and Disney disapproved of it. Which is understandable because of their ages. So in the game it's not official, but it explains why there are so many questionable scenes (Axel crying over his departure, lines etc.)

Our emotions come from the hormones that reside within our bodies. Feelings stem from our brains and are sent through. We have souls that give us clear thoughts. These thoughts allow us to decide between right and wrong, love and hate. It has nothing to do with the organs that pump blood.

Also, Roxas and Axel WERE originally meant to be lovers, but Disney changed that due to the ages. Hopefully, one day people will come to not mind the fact. No matter what their sexuality was, they were still awesome characters, and we should love them, and be allowed to hold our OWN opinion on them. ^_^

This was my first yaoi pairing, and I stick by them. These two were intended to be together, but it was banned because some people have problems handling the fact. I will not waver on the fact that these two were magnificent characters and deserve our respect! The way the scenes are in the game...yeah. ^_^

@RachelTHEstalker I wasn't all that into the manga (yes, manga/anime) but it was a similar situation where you felt it, but it wasn't there. Then, you look into it and realize that the original intention was for it to *be* there, someone just pussied (pardon me) out. Japanese Script and the original show for CCS had them (Touya and Yukito) as canon, but it was dubbed out completely for American viewers. Horrible.

But we who know the truth stand firm, ne? Respect AkuRoku, indeed. :D

But I always thought they meant metaphorical heart. They way that I validate the feeling behind AkuRoku (among others in Org XIII) is that their brains know what they feel, be it passion or hate or sadness, but there is no heart, so there's almost a disconnect to the spirit. So they know and react, but do not *feel* per se. *shrugs*

Your brain contains hormones, which are what true emotions are, and your soul holds the key (pun, much?) to something far greater. If they don't have "hearts" then they're either missing a vital organ, or they're missing a metaphorical piece of themselves that is more like a psychological thing than physical. If they're missing the organ, it doesn't mater anyway: they're nobodies.
