Well the Japanese allied themselves with Hitler and the Nazi's -- the most evil people to ever walk the face of the Earth. Japan was also involved in the murder, rape, and plunder of countless Chinese civilians. Even when Hitler fell Japan refused to surrender. You would think after the 1st bomb Japan would stop, but no, after several days the US had to dropped a 2nd bomb!!! They were determined to continue the war for however long it took. So, what would you suggest America should have done?

The US could have dropped the bomb offshore as a threat to the Japanese government, showing them how much power America was ready to use against Japan. Also, America wanted unconditional surrender from Japan, while the Japanese themselves were ready to surrender, but required that certain terms were met. America had suffered very little damage from WWII, and was, in my opinion, being greedy in demanding unconditional surrender from Japan.
