My Ringneck Doves

Lovely. I had 2 doves that were one of the best pets I have had. They used to free fly in my garden and would come when called and sleep in their cage in the house at night. I had then for 4 years. Sadly one was killed by a cat yesterday. I am so heartbroken, but I don't regret letting them have a more natural life. I know they loved to fly about in my garden and sunbath. I will find a new mate for my male, but now keep them in the house. Lovely video. Thank you.

I love your beautiful pictures of these wonderful doves! I especially love the one of the two in the basket! My ring neck dove Charlotte is 24 now I believe. The years are going by! She is still quite happy and full of life....Your video is very uplifting!

I once had two ringneck doves, both were owner surrenders. The first was Bird, a sweet all-white female. Then we got Cappucino, a pushy male. By the time she started to like him and mate with him she had already gone through bird menopause and was not laying eggs anymore. She died first, and he died shortly after.

@ForeverFerrets dont get two males they fight alooot and a pair will give you babies two females are quiet i think good luck

is a white dove with some fethers that are dark brown expensive, because I have a female dove (with two babies) that is that colour! I have nine doves.

snow:colour is white with lite brown fethers too.

abby:the one thet I said had two babies

ottis:lite brown, like yours

angle:same colour as snow

ginger : dark brown

idol/ idocus:base colour is lite brown and flight fethers are dark brown

asiago:still baby so mate be white or white with brown fethers too

and the babies, one brown one white

I have a Question and Anyone please reply if you know?? If you have doves that been living in the Cage for so long in an area and if you let them go outside to fly will they come back?? I never tried it and Not going i am not risking it.

hi my ringneck doves just layed eggs like 1-2days ago but there not sitting on the eggs. is there a problem or thats what they do because i read something and it said they dont sit on them for like 12hrs. i dont know if its true though.

Usually between 20 dollars and upwards of a 100 a bird. Depends on the rarity of color and what breeder you get them from. Mine are actually pretty commonly colored. They were mailed to me in 2006 and I paid only $30 for both. The breeder was trying to find homes for them because he was getting overrun.

All birds are a bit messy. You just have to change the newspaper once or twice a week. When they fly around my room they are messy too. I lined the places they sit with newspaper and their perch that hangs from ceiling has a container underneath to catch any droppings.

my mourning dove got sick and died. It was some sort or respiratory thing. she was wheezy for several weeks and finally passed on

True but currenly, i now have a male and female dove, and they had 2 babies. one lives on his own in a different cage and the baby that was born december 2 will live with that other chick. and for now on NO MORE EGGS! everytime i see an egg i will get rid of it, and ill take the nest out

The males are more playful. My female is real timid. I am pretty sure the timid wild type one is female too. The males are both territorial and more outgoing.
