Hey, Fucktown, you should try to make a version of the radio version of Strawberry Fields Forever a cappella so maybe the whole 'canberry sause'/'I buried Paul' debate can be solved.
I really think this is the way Lennon would have liked to have done the song but 1967 was nearing and everything was done in studios with special new sounds.
@sann1979 You are 47 years of age and you respond like that? I thought your reply was from a 15 year old. Whenever someone replies like that, it shows 2 things; they are grossly immature and these people have zero credibility. Grow up (I thought you would have done that by this time) and try to make a somewhat intelligent response.
@aluragranddad i'm 47so what, at this age i don't need some asshole pontificating about MY LIFE OK!!??? and one more thing if you want respect you have to deserve it!!!! Go out and get a life instead of try to find out every detail about me!!!! Stupid faggot!!!
@aluragranddad As i said before: stupid faggot!!!! Sneaking in other's people life to prove what!!?? You are "superior" o more "intellectual" than others!!??? Go back to your closet and don't forget to buy a big can of vaseline jajaja!!! Asshole!!!
absolutely unbelievable!! the chance to hear how he originally conceived it... to say Lennon was ahead of his time is an understatement of magnanimious proportions!!
i have a boot on which there are all available demos and sessions of the song, about 55 different versions from the vacation demos to the finished one, f you#re interested i can search out the name and probably a site to download it.
I thinky people forget Paul wrote most of their albums after the first 4 years.I love them both but if John hadnt passed away im not sure people would have this opinion that Johns songs are better or whetever. There wouldnt have been any beatles after revolver if paul didnt write pretty much all the best songs ( apart from dont let me down )
By "most", you must mean 51-57%? Whoever wrote it sang it, except for "getting better" which John wrote, yet Paul sang. The first 4 years are 7 albums, by the way. Only 3 more (4 if you count Let it be) Sgt. Pepper: John 5, Paul 6 (a reprise doesn't count as 2); MMT: not an album; White Album: John 13 Paul 13; Let it Be: John 3-4? with a collaboration Paul 4 with a collaboration; Abbey Road John 6 Paul 8; As for "best", one cannot argue opinion, so it is a retarded point, as is your comment.
@BrDrCurtis YOUR point is retarded asswipe, how can MMT not count as an album since it was released? :S and actually from 1967 they released SPLHCB, MMT, let it be, abbey road, yellow submarine and the white album.Id say you dont really have a clue ;)
@BrDrCurtis So many poor points i dont know where 2 start.Counting Lennon writing 13 'songs' on the white album? Do u call Revolution 9 a song?when you say that the reprise on Sgt Pepper doesnt count? Dont let this continue cos you talk utter shit
@BrDrCurtis Do u want me to go on about Let it be then also?John wrote '3-4' songs u say.Have you heard these albums? or are you just looking through Wikipedia or sumthing? 2 of those 'songs' were Maggie May and Dig it which were nothing more than 40 second jam sessions.Seriously you make me laugh what you count as songs, when you say the Sgt Pepper reprise doesnt 'count' haha
In the future, imagine if you will no pun intended... imagine hearing Lennon songs like A Day In the Life, She Said She Said, Happiness is a Warm Gun, Nowhere Man, In My Life, Across the Universe, Dear Prudence, Julia, Tomorrow Never Knows, Norwegian Wood, Don't Let Me Down, etc... people will be blown away by Lennon songs.
@8aetroya8 I love McCartney but you are right, this is what gives Lennon the edge of Paul. It's just how mind blowing John's songs are. Even though Paul's SOUND amazing, they're never as revolutionary as songs like Strawberry Fields Forever.
@8aetroya8 I have to respectfully disagree. I'm more of a Lennon fan myself and I agree that the majority of Paul's songs will sound 'nice and dainty' in the future, but I do think a few will stand the test of time. He had quite a few songs that did things no one had done before, 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Helter Skelter' are two that come to mind. That being said, the man is an ass.
Yes, most of John's songs are genius, but I think Paul has written some of the most underrated, beautiful and soulful songs I've ever heard. They can sound pretty or they can be full of heart and emotion depending how you see it... they're still beautiful.
what other than a genius could write a song and lyrics like this..for example..always......no..sometimes think its me....or.......i think....i know....i mean......uhhh....yes....but its all wrong....that is.....i think.....i disagree...lol i love that one
I love how this sounds so Folky. If he would have stuck with this sound instead of going all psychedelic, I would loved John more than Paul. But he kind of ruined it
@CloudyandRain Lennon songs will be remembered as being from Lennon's lifetime, that period, unique to that time, and all time. McCartney sound will blur in with everything else that had already happened.
Sheer genius!

A perfect example of Beatle garbage. Is this the same group who came up with "If I Fell" or "And I Love Her"? Junk from beginning to end.
